Holistic Health and the Melanin Community----Anatomy of the Ginger Root

    in Spirituality

Thank you for tuning in to last week's broadcast! Hopefully some of our gutsy listeners chose to try the Body Detoxification tonic and are ready to share their results! Or how about placing the slice of red onion directly on your foot before going to bed? Notice any results (besides wet socks)?

If having soggy toes isn't your idea of a good time, then burn some incense, grab some herbal tea, and tune in.

Join the resident nurse, Lady Lathaya, and the holistic healer, Mz. Kilz, as we share a few new tips as well as perform an organic autopsy on the ugly but powerful little ginger root. Its healing qualities make it an essential nutrient to add to a healthy lifestyle. Just 'cause its on the far side of the supermarket doesn't mean you have to keep passing it by (ode to ole school hip-hop). Tune in and learn ways to benefit from and prepare this creepy looking piece of nature.

Live at 10 pm E/ 9 pm C on TheTAPI Network.

Carol Walker & Ginger Kathrens on Wild Horse & Burro Radio

    in Politics

Tonight's guests are Carol Walker, Dir. of Field Documentation for Wild Horse Freedom Federation and Ginger Kathrens, the Founder and Executive Director of The Cloud Foundation.

Both fought to keep wild horses on federally protected Herd Management Areas in Wyoming, and both witnessed the roundups of these wild horses.  And both are among those posting photos of the wild horses that were captured in Wyoming, so that these horses can be adopted rather than end up going to slaughter in the future.

My faith walk is part of my journey to my destiny. The sky is the limit it doesn't matter your age or circumstances. I know personally that life throw curve balls, but you got to keep the faith. No matter what DON’T QUIT! The devil is a liar. Gurl you can still Go Get Your Stuff.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

God gives us blessings in portions so we can build our faith up. Your testimony is a test of circumstances that you go through to testify to others, so that God can be revealed and show that he is real. We have to be patient and wait on God’s instructions. You can’t do it by yourself, I tried but until I surrendered all and put God first, I always failed.

I know now that what I went through was not for me, but for someone else. As I mentor to young and adult women all over the world. I have found that nothing is too hard for God.See the devil thought he had me, but God. Everybody didn't make it through their storm. But God, saved me to deliver this message to you. Gurl Go Get Your Stuff.

    Celebrity Juice Features Torsha Lynn

    in Entertainment

Torsha Lynn’s life has thrown her a few curve balls, but as they say, the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray. Even through immense heartbreak and incredible joy, one thing has always been clear: she was meant to be a singer. Returning to her life’s passion to release her sophomore album, “Inappropriate,” which has already been hailed by critics for its “flawless vocals, hypnotic melodies and epic anthems,” Torsha’s latest album promises to deliver a unique R&B style sure to draw in listeners with her powerful voice and sound.

From an early age, Torsha, a Dallas, TX native and resident, filled her home with song: she was singing solos in her church choir at just four years old, competing in statewide competitions by middle school, singing in an all-female musical group throughout high school, joining the choir and band in junior high and high school. By the time she started college, on a full scholarship to Texas Christian University, she began to sing professionally.

I literally walked off the graduation stage and into a studio to produce my first solo album with Michael Lloyd, former vice president of A&R at MGM Records, and Emmy award winning songwriter Greg O’Connor.”

Torsha had immediate success, but then life and tragedy got in the way. One of her first songs was selected as the trailer for the movie “Love Hurts,” and while she was marketing her first single, Torsha and her husband got pregnant then lost the baby during the third trimester. The experience was so traumatic that she walked away from everything and opened Snug Pet Resort in San Diego at the age of 25.
