Author Robert Charles Anderson, FASG, joins Jane this morning to talk about his latest book -- hot off the press -- entitled Elements of Genealogical Analysis. Bob will discuss this genealogical research methodology approach that he has used for more than 30 years in his work as director of the Great Migration Study Project which documents the wave of Puritans and others from England who came to New England between 1620 and 1640. He'll tell us what we can find in the book and how it can help us in our genealogy research.

** NEW SHOW TIME - 8 PM ARIZONA TIME **
I was adopted at 5 days old. The adoption was handled by a law firm in Tucson, Arizona. I have contacted them and the hospital I was born in only to be told that their records are all purged. Well - that was over 27 years ago.
Since that time I have met my 1/2 brother Rick and my sister-in-law Sandi. What I was told by them was information supposedly supplied by my mother. However, I am slowly finding out that my adoption contains a bunch of deception and downright lies.
Find out what my mother's handwriting showed on my adoption paper.
Find out why my 1/2 brother and sister-in-law will no longer have anything to do with me.
Find out what Oprah Winfrey found out about my adoption...
Find out what my DNA results from Ancestry revealed...
Find out why it matters anyway...
I also held a contest in June giving away a full comprehensive DNA report to one of the 113 people who guessed what my DNA results said. Well - congratulationis to Carrie R. who won!
An Embarrassment of Riches - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating and informing savers & investors. Entrepreneurs and investors are by nature optimists. If we weren't optimistic, we wouldn't risk our time and capital, neither financial nor intellectual on uncertain ventures. On the other hand, we're bombarded daily by bad news from every media outlet and from naysayers, thus challenging our natural optimism. Is the glass half empty, half full, or merely twice as large as it needs to be?
Are we living in an era plagued by the Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times"? We seem to be surrounded by riots, revolutions, wars, hatred, threats of war, and dysfunctional governments. There are outcries for those who worked hard and succeeded to "spread the wealth" to help those less fortunate. So we've invitedAlexander Green to join us and share his refreshing perspective. Alexander Green is the Chief Investment Strategist of The Oxford Club and Investment U. He is the author of "An Embarrassment of Riches" and 3 other best selling books on investing, as well as editor of 3 investment newsletters.
The financial markets are rising to record highs, while the world is in turmoil. Is this an indication that investors are out of sync with the real world? Can this bull market continue to stampede despite all the bad news? What can we expect over the next 1, 5 or 20 years? For the answers to these and many more questions, get a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join in the conversation …
Have you just received your results and have no idea how to analyze them? What do you know about Identical by Descent (IBD) and Identical by State( IBS)? Have you lowered the threshold on your DNA matches and discovered that you match everyone? Should you do this and is it a valid indicator for identifying matches?
Shannon Christmas will discuss how DNA analysis, when used in concert with traditional genealogical research methods, can help family historians overcome challenges unique to genealogy research. He will also answer your burning questions concerning the various DNA test.
Shannon Christmas is an experienced genealogist specializing in genetic, colonial American, and African-American genealogy in Virginia and the Carolinas. He serves as a 23andMe Ancestry Ambassador, administrator of The Captain Thomas Graves of Jamestown Autosomal DNA Project, co-administrator of The Hemings-Jefferson-Wayles-Eppes Autosomal DNA Project, and blogger of Through The Trees, “a didactic guide to new tools and technologies for genealogy” (http://throughthetreesblog.tumblr.com/). Shannon has a special interest in harnessing the power of autosomal DNA to verify and extend pedigrees, assess the veracity of oral history, and reconstruct ancestral genomes. A trained urban planning and real estate consultant, Shannon has a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University and a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Africa the Next Frontier? - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. During this show we'll talk about opportunities on a continent most investors never even consider. And when they hear the idea, they merely ask: Do they have financial markets in Africa? Are there already publicly traded companies with a track record? Will I be able to buy their shares through my investment advisor? Are many multi-national companies setting up operations in Africa?
We've asked Robert Scharar the Senior International Fund Manager of the Commonwealth Funds, and President of FCA Corp. to come back and share what opportunities he saw that led to the creation of the Africa Fund. Was it because it was indeed the next investment frontier? Was China's massive investments on that continent a driver? Or is it because the developed markets have reached their peak? So prepare your questions, grab a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join the conversation …
