SORT BY Relevancy
Join hosts Alice Lynch and Sumayya Coleman and Research Commentator Shasme Jackson as they talk to Rose Pulliam and B. Cole about the dynamics of intimate partner violence in lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities. The show will give voice to survivors who face societal and systemic barriers based on gender identity and sexual orientation by highlighting and examining ways in which institutions and systems that are supposed to provide solace and meet the needs of all help-seekers, actually make it difficult for LGBTQ survivors to access services. Guests will also describe the unique challenges of communities of color, and provide possible solutions and actions toward alleviating these issues.
Abuse can leave wounds of many varieties. How we feel about being a man or a woman, how we see our bodies, how we think about sex, and how we express ourselves sexually are common things that are influenced by negative experiences in our childhood. We may become defined by our needs, our desires, and our feelings. Fear, unmet attachment needs, and lack of confidence in our sexuality can all influence us in the area of developing our gender identity. Dennis Jernigan, singer, songwriter, and author, knows this firsthand. Having walked through the journey of sexual brokenness into giving and receiving healthy love, he will share his story of hope and healing with us. Join us Thursday, February 6th on Beyond Abuse Radio and be inspired!
How do you identify yourself? By what you do? By who you associate with? By your economic status?
Identity is crucial to living a purposeful life, but some people struggle with defining themselves. All their lives their identity has hinged on what other people said it should be. This can cause an ongoing inner conflict of the soul that manifests itself in various negative and unproductive ways.
If that's not the kind of life you want and you're ready to embrace and establish your true identity, join in on this chat!
We're talking with Thad Barnum, author of Real Identity: Where Bible and Life Meet. Call in with your questions and comments (646-716-6910), or log in to our chatroom during the broadcast.
Were you "Born this Way?" Perhaps the law can answer that question for you ... but exactly what is the law on gender identity? Can a transgendered man call himself a man when he was born biologically as a woman? Is Transgendered a protected class? Join your hosts as they answer questions on sex gender identity and tie those answers into the law today.
The Laws of Nature requires balance. There is order, and there is chaos. There is the masculine energy, and there is the feminine energy. There are only nine (9) numbers in the universe (one-verse) with the nine being the ennead and the five (5) which is the Pentad is its balancing point. This is where you get names like the Pentagon.
There has always seem to have been difficulties in male & female relationships. The balancing of this union seems to always be off kilter. Why is that? We have moved into the Age of Aquarius which is now the age of information. The Woman now says that she is God, and God alone, and all male humans are her children.

Americans have always felt valued by what they do. It is ingrained in us. We think we are what we do. “The world around us teaches us that purpose come first,” Barnum says. “Find purpose, find identity.” But that is exactly what Jesus taught against. People need more than just what is true, they need real.
Join us on The River today as Jeannie and Maxine chat with Thad Barnum, author of Identity; How Americans Value Themselves at Work and Home, about how to find identity outside the cultural norms.
The saga continues as we take another look at ""Gender Wars" from a different perspective. We will take a look at the creation story with Guest, "Christ Minister." and travel the second hour with Naimah Latif as she discuss male & female relationships.
It is said that the Pharoah came forth from between the thighs of the "divine nine." Pharoah means "great house." The Pharoah was also known as the dog as he went before his people as the protector. The word "Pharoah" is synonymous with the word "husband." Husband is defined as house band. A husband is the one that binds the family or the house together.
The mother is the first teacher of the child, and the message that the mother gives to the child, that child gives to the world. A sun has always been fashioned for great royalty as Kings. What message is the mother giving the child today? Is it one of greatness, or one of removing him from his proper position in this realm.
Join us tonight as we prepare to,
