We headline tonight with a NJPW G1 Climax 25 Finals Review
Sean is joined by Gary, 411mania.com's Robert Cooper, and a special guest who has been watching New Japan Pro Wrestling since 1984 named Tom Reese. The guys hit the highlights of Nights 17 and 18, discussing some of the great matches on those shows.
Then they go match by match doing a G1 Climax 25 Finals Review. Everything from the opening tags to the epic closing encounter of the entire tour.
Finally, everyone gives their standout things from this G1, their thoughts on the format, what to expect for the rest of the year, ROH saying they will wrestle in Japan in 2016. There's also their Top 5 matches and wrestlers of the tournament as well.
*Just in case for those wondering, Sean covered Nights 15 & 16 of the G1 Climax 25 on the regular episode of W2M that was just released. Go to W2M EP 156 and fast forward to the 184:00 for coverage of that and a preview of what we talked about tonight. *
New Japan inches ever closer to the finish line as we are at Night 12 of the NJPW G1 Climax 25 tournament. Hamamatsu is the location for this show and it also served as the final single camera shoot of the tour.
How did the B Block fare on night 12? Were there any standout matches? Did Ishii vs. Okada deliver? Sean tells you everything you need to know.
Sean also discusses the latest in the NJPW pick'em too...
Sean: 38-22 Paul: 43-17
It's a little later than promised, but Sean flies Solo to discuss a little bit of history of the New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 Climax tournament, why it is so revered and important.
Then Sean discusses everything that happened on Night 1 of G1 Climax 25. What were the matches to watch? How does the new format work out? Sean discusses that and more.
Sean ends things by looking ahead to what's set to happen on G1 Climax 25 Night Two and how he's doing in the G1 pick'em (which is 3-2 by the way, Paul is 4-1.)
Sorry this is so late, but due to me going to an NXT Live Event on Friday night, I got behind on the G1 coverage. I really apologize for that. I didn't have time until today to be able to get this podcast out to everyone.
Also, for the sake of time and because I don't remember a whole lot about them. I won't be talking about any of the tag matches or undercard stuff here. This podcast will only focus on the G1 Climax 25 tournament matches from nights 3-5.
I will also preview Night 6 and discuss how I'm doing in the pick'em, which isn't that great. Sean: 16-9, Paul: 19-6

We are also covering the recent finals of the New Japan G1 Climax and all the fallout that comes out of that, from the company that many say has the best wrestling on the planet today. Join us at 9pm EST for all the latest on what's gone down as well as previews of what's coming, it's everything you ever needed to know and more if you're looking for a wider perspective any modern wrestling that may have slipped under your radar. Sean is back ready to breakdown everything that happened on Night Six of the NJPW G1 Climax 25 tournament. The tournament already has possibly its first casualty and several others bruised up as well.
Sean goes through all the matches, tells you what you should watch, what to pay attention to, and also previews Night 7.
Sean also talks about how he's doing in the pick'em. Sean: 18-12, Paul: 21-9
New Japan held shows in Sendai and Iwate on Tuesday and Wednesday for Nights 10 & 11 of the G1 Climax 25 tournament. Both Blocks were in action and Sean has the low down on everything that happened.
Due to an error found in the video for Night 10, New Japan didn't upload it to NJPW World until really late last night. So, this is why I'm having to combine both nights again.
Night 10 in Sendai featured Block B action with mostly good matches, but with only one standout match.
Night 11 in Iwate featured Block A action with a few stinkers, a pretty good match, and a great main event.
Remember you can check out all my other recaps of the G1 Climax 25 tournament right here. You can also read my written reviews here: http://lastwordonsports.com/category/lwosxtra/pro-wrestling/
New Japan Pro Wrestling traveled to Fukuoka, Japan for Night 7 of the G1 Climax 25 tournament. What happened on the show? What are the matches to watch? Did Nakamura return? How was Kota Ibushi vs. Katsuyori Shibata? Sean breaks it all down.
Sean also previews Night 8 and discusses how he's doing in the pick'em, which is really bad at this point. Don't forget that the G1 Climax doesn't return until Saturday morning, as they have two off days ahead.
Sean: 19-16 Paul: 23-12
Sean is back again with a look at Night Two of the NJPW G1 Climax 25. What were the matches to watch? What are the pro's and cons of having a one camera show? Did we have our first upset of the tournament already? Sean answers all of these questions and more.
Then Sean finishes things out with a look ahead to tomorrow's Night Three action and he talks about how he's doing in the pick'em as well.
Hint: Sean is 7-3, Paul is 8-2, and Gary just didn't submit the form.
Rich from voicesofwrestling.com joins the show to preview the upcoming New Japan G1 Climax tournament and explain why Mookie's statistics-driven model is complete bunk. Plus comparing ratings systems (Meltzer vs Keller), ideas to help fix the WWE Network and perhaps a look ahead at the Battleground "PPV"!
New Japan made their final stop in Yokohama before heading off to Tokyo for six sold out shows. This card looked like a one match show on paper and it really was, but there were a few other surprises that happened.
Sean breaks down everything that happened, let's you know what to check out, and previews Night 14, which is also the first night from Tokyo in Korakuen Hall.
Sean also discusses what's going in the pick'ems too.
The pick'ems look like this... Sean: 42-23 Paul: 46-19
