Open Mic Night to share your positive memories of Brain Injury Radio as we kick off the week of our 4th Anniversary! In addition, I would like to hear your happy jokes, ancedotes, goals, and desires. Last week, I covered grief and mourning. Like it or not, those are also elements on a path of recovery. This week, we explore the other side of the coin. I also have several new Indie Artists to play, as well as your favorite requests. And YOU bring ME a side splitting joke! (BYOJ) :)
Music and humor have long been demonstrated to be uplifting and useful tools in recovery. Be it a simple smile, or a belly laugh; a pretty little ditty, or a tune that stirs the smiles and memory. Of course I'll have some facts to back that up or, you guys will demonstrate how that works in practice.
We are all resposibilty for making our own good times, by the tone of our attitude. Bring your happy face, and pay it forward to tonight...Or, just sit back and chill to a myriad of tunes, guaranteed to stoke the attitudes and put you in the mood to party down! Let's turn that frown, upside down tonight and rock on!

A smile can say something that you cannot find the words to say. A smile is a friendly reminder that it’s OK. A smile might say don’t worry or I have your back. A smile is something you can lean on in the time of trouble. A smile will sometimes speak volume, your stamp of approval on a dress or hair design. Smiling does more good than bad. It can hurt you or bite you, but that does not happen often.
It’s a give away so don’t stop the encouragement. It’s a tag along so remind yourself not to forget about it or wish that you had used it. When we smile the whole world might return the gesture. It’s kind and it will apologize with a silent pardon me. Did you know that a smile is a representative of patience? It will assist you in living a balance lifestyle and nothing just happens. Consider yourself one step closer in your climb to the next level.

If you've been working the web for any length of time, then you know the search engines frown on what is known as "Black Hat" techniques. This technology has been used to exploit search engine algorithms since the first search engines appeared. The reason black hatting used to be popular was because it could move your website onto Page 1 in a hurry. Before the turn of the century, black hatting was practically a requirement, since the practice was so prevalent. However, during the past few years, search engine operators have designed their spiders to search and destroy anyone employing black hat techniques. In fact, the past half dozen updates on Google have been designed specifically to crack down sites that were using these techniques. This has resulted in a number of sites being either delisted or even black listed. The problem is that most people still don't understand where the line in the sand has been drawn regarding black hat practices and technology. So in this episode we're going to show you who is wearing a black hat on the Wild Wild Web. We'll also review some of the more common black hat-like techniques that can get you into trouble so you'll know to avoid doing them.

How one spends his/her day is truly up to the individual. I believe when we add faith and walk in it we recognize it’s not us in control but our Maker. We wake up with a smile instead of a frown, we say thank you when someone shows kindness towards us and we appreciate the people who come and go in our lives because we understand it wasn't self-doing, but our Maker.
Tonight as we continue on this journey in refining ourselves and accepting the shoes designed for us, Help me welcome our returning guest Ms. Sharisa Robertson to the show.

“Everyone Has a Story, What’s Your Story?”
We all know someone who has experienced pain in some kind of shape or form, whether they did it to themselves or it was done by the hands of someone else. Pain is not respect of persons. We all can agree that it “hurts.” It can come in many forms. A person can have a smile on their face, a limp when they walk, a frown on their face, or be known as the life of a party and can be experiencing pain. Behind the smile, the limp, or the frown there is a “Story.” So, what’s your story? We all have one whether we want to admit it or not. Some people are living in guilt, shame, fear, unforgiveness, denial, anger, bitterness, turmoil, grief, and depression right now. It stems from their story. If you can relate to any of this without any hesitation, then you have a story. BUT THERE IS HOPE!
Tonight at 6:30pm on Real Talk with Devara we will have a guest who will be telling her story in hopes of freeing someone else. I encourage every one of you to call in. You don’t have to tell your story, but just hearing someone else’s story can let you know that you are not alone and that if they made it through their story, So Can You. Our guest will share how she overcame her pain and how she stopped the cycle of self-destruction. Invite someone you know that can benefit from this. You never know, this one call can change their life or even your life. Don’t Miss It. Call 310-982-4267 tonight at 6:30pm EST or go to http://tobtr.com/s/5521501. Your questions and comments are encouraged because they can change lives. Remember no faces can be seen on the radio, and no names are required, so feel free to be free. 24SEP13. Independence versus Dependence!!Society as a collective recently has started to frown upon recipients of government aid. Unfortunately we do have individuals whom abused the system and have remained on it for an over extended amount of time. We also have others who feel that as long as their significant other is the primary bread winner in the relationship, either they will stop contributing or cut there source of income out completely to utilize their partner’s resources. Many other topics related to the issue and we will discuss this as always on and as REAL TALK. Also current events sports and other various topics.
We should always look beyond the obvious. Many times we miss the mark being in our flesh and we are unable to respond as Christ. We can't reach people that have fallen into sin if we judge and frown upon them as though there's no hope. The Bible says you who are spiritual consider one as yourself restoring them back to fellowship gently but firm let's you fall into the same temptation. People of God the reason why people fall and don't come back. Our attitudes towards them the looks, what we say Am I saying be in agreement with their actions No but don't kill their spirit. Join us tomorrow night at 8 pm for this teaching
Everyone was born with a sixth sense. The problem is that we are discouraged from using it at a young age. Our society and many religions frown upon it! Tonight Jennifer will be talking about hands-on techniques that you can use right away to jumpstart your personal psychic talents, from the dream state to the hunches you receive while awake. Developing your intuition is like learning a foreign language: it requires a little practice and takes awhile, and if you don't use it...you'll lose it! But once you know the basics, you're off and running, and the more frequently you use your skills, the stronger they become.
On this episode of the Write Stuff, we will be talking about the many challenges that may come up regarding the denominational divides in Christianity and why mainstream Christian publishers frown on the use of any mention of denominations in fiction. Our guest contributor and co-host, Bridgett Henson will be on board to discuss this topic as well as tell us the story behind her words and what she did to get around the limitations set by the mainstream Christian publishing companies.
