This week on a special NFL Draft edition of Thursday Night Tailgate our guests are: former Patriots Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins, former Rams DT turned broadcaster Bob Fields, former Chiefs & Falcons WR JJ Birden, former Rams Pro Bowl Guard Kent Hill and former Rams Pro Bowl QB Jim Everett.
Tony Collins - We talked with Tony about his draft day memories plus what it was like showing up at training camp the first time. Did the players, especially the other runningbacks, welcome him or did they view him as the guy drafted to take their jobs?
Bob Fields - Bob is a member of the Board of Directors for the NFL Alumni Association and was an undrafted free agent signed by the Rams. What was the draft process like for him? We'll also talk about what the NFL Alumni Association is doing to help the many former players who are now dealing with long term health issues later in life.
JJ Birden - JJ was an 8th round draft pick by the Cleveland Browns who later cut him. What were his expecations heading into the draft? JJ was also a track star in college at Oregon, making it to the US Olympic trials. We'll get his thoughts on the Olympics later this summer and his thoughts on fellow Oregon Duck Devon Allen who's following in his footsteps.
Kent Hill - Kent was a 1st round draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 1979. We'll talk about what draft day was like for him. What was it like going through that day and sitting there waiting for your name to be called? We'll also hear his thougths on the Rams selecting Jared Goff with the #1 selection.
Jim Everett - Now that the Rams are back in LA and drafting #1, we'll hear what Jim thinks about the Rams selection of QB Jared Goff as the 1st overall pick. Plus we'll hear the story about what led the Rams to trade for him after a couple of months after the Houston Oilers selected him in the first round.

Glenn Smith - We'll talk to Glenn about the roster of players he's drafted, his coaching staff, and how his years as an Assistant Coach with the Dallas Cowboys will impact the opportunities his players will have in Dallas.
Tony Collins - Now that Johnny Manziel has been cut, fired by a second agent in the last month and had his endoresement deal with Nike terminated, is that enough to make him see that he has a real problem and he needs help and real change?
Jeff Herrod - Now that the NFL concussion lawsuit has been upheld, what does that mean for the former players who need help now? As a warrior who continues to need multiple surgeries to correct joint and back injuries and a guy who can no longer stand to be in crowds due to sensitivity to light and noise from head injuries, was playing the game worth it?
Randy Fuller - We'll hear Randy's thoughts on playing DB now versus when he played. Have all the rules changes made it nearly impossible to cover WRs? We'll get his insights into the Steelers defense and what they need to do to catch up to the Broncos as the top defense in the league.
Vencie Glenn - Hear Vencie Glenn lay it on the line. We'll get his thoughts on Josh Gordon and Johnny Manziel. What would he tell those guys if they were teammates? As a former Charger, how does he feel about the potential for the Chargers to move to LA and their current stadium situation? What made him one of the smartest DBs in the league according Hall of Fame QB Warren Moon?

He also shared his insights on the Jets missing the playoffs least season and the Bucs firing Lovie Smith after only 2 seasons.
Sherman Williams - Sherman played 5 season with the Dallas Cowboys before marijuana distribution and fraud charges cost him 15 years in Federal prison and his playing career. Hear his story about how his poor judgement cost him everything but his focus now is on keeping kids from making those same poor choices..
Ken Hamlin - Ken played 8 years in the League with the Seahawks and Cowboys. Hear his stories from playing with Seahawks during their first Super Bowl appearance in 2005. Hear his opinions and insights on what's it like trying to play DB now with all of the rules changes.

Toi Cook - We'll talk with Toi about being a part of the 49ers Super Bowl Championship team in 1994 and the interception he had in that game. We'll also hear his stories about playing alongside Hall of Famers like Deion Sanders, Steve Young, Jerry Rice and several others. What did Deion teach him? What was it like trying to cover Jerry Rice in practice? Hear Toi share those stories and more.
Based on some circumanstances, Evan conducted a solo show on Wednesday, then Troy gave his solo skills a test on Thursday. After two days of solo shows on The Red Light Sports Ramble, Evan and Troy will join forces on Friday night to give some insight to the NFL schedule that was released on Thursday night. They will also talk about some of the early story lines in MLB. Neither Evan or Troy put much expectation on the Milwuakee Brewers this season, but they stand at 4-5. It may not be taking the baseball world by storm but is it a sign that they are headed in the right direction? Keith Millard - We'll talk with former Vikings Pro Bowl Defensive Tackle Keith Millard about why he originally shunned the NFL for the USFL even though he was the 13th overall pick by the Vikings in 1984. We'll get his thoughts on how devastating it was to have the Vikings get eliminated from the playoffs last season after the missed an easy field goal that would have beaten the Seahawks in the first round. We'll also talk to Keith about his current role as a Defensive Assistant with the Tennessee Titans and what it was like when he was inducted into the college football Hall of Fame

Zig Fracassi – We’ll get Zig’s take on the free agent moves so far including the latest on his Cowboys and hometown Buffalo Bills. We’ll also get hiss reaction to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones saying there's no link between football and brain injuries.
Walt Harris – We’ll get his thoughts on Chip Kelly taking over as Head Coach of his former team the 49ers. Does he think he could play for Kelly after what went down in Philadelphia?
Randy Minniear – We’ll talk to Randy about his college playing days at Purdue. In 1964 they beat #5 Michigan and in 1965 they beat top rated Notre Dame. Randy scored 3 touchdowns in those games. We’ll hear this memories of playing in those games.

Roberto Clemente Jr. – He is the son of baseball Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente. We’ll talk about his father’s playing career and the legacy he left behind in Puerto Rico.
Chukie Nworkorie – We’ll talk with Chukie about what it was like to be adopted as a teenager after his father left to go back to Nigeria and his birth mother was unable to take care of him. We’ll also talk about what it was like to practice against Brett Favre.
Tarell Brown – We'll get Tarell’s thoughts on his time with the 49ers, Raiders & Patriots plus as a free agent what's next for him.
