Ep. 39: Drew Michael- A Man On The Pod!

    in Comedy

Today the podcast brakes new ground by letting a white straight man in the building!?! Drew Michael is a hilarious, I just got passed at the Comedy Cellar and was featured at Just For Laughs New Faces this past summer. He's also a man. The podcast gets a little dramatic when Sabrina tries to start shit that doesn't exist. Once we push past the foot in her mouth we glide into the best topics ever such as: war, women, men, Isis, comedy and feminism. Ursula Frei calls in to reminisce about the days she worked at a show store.

Ep. 33: Bonnie McFarlane- The Final Feud

    in Comedy

Today's episode is a result of wanting a guest so bad you cater to their ached, show up at the club 3 vodka sodas deep and sweet talk producers with promises of veggie burgers in order to record a pod…All for Bonnie McFarlane (Letterman, My Wife Hates Me Podcast, Comedy Central, Women Aren't Funny on Netflix). The girls (i never wanna not describe people as "girls") discuss the idea of contentment in your craft and its dangerous ties to complacency. After a text wasn't replied to, Bonnie walks us through a real-life one-way feud she had with Sab ("How dare you put me through this!"). Both comics are from Canada and discuss comedy in our homeland (aka. their experiences with Yuk Yuks). Later in the pod Bonnie invites Sabrina's brother Sam and his new friend/former stranger Melissa to the mic for an interview. Ursula Frei chimes in at the end with a protocol story about some lady who's been through too much but still manages to smile. Pour yourself a cup of moonshine and warm your toes with this one!

Frances Frei & Anne Morriss: Uncommon Service

    in Business

UPS Foundation Professor of Service Management at Harvard Business School, Frances Frei; and Managing Director of the Concire Leadership Institute, Anne Morriss; co-authors of Uncommon Service, describe how despite the fact that we are wired for service, it's not enough to demand it from your employees. Instead, companies must design service right into the very core of their entire organization. Frances and Anne provide the framework to put into action a system that allows companies to deliver great service, in any industry, regardless of the employees, customers, or situations. The new model identifies four universal truths about customer service, and weaves customer service into the entire organizational tapestry. Anne and Frances also offer advice for shaping company culture to work with that design that builds in exceptional and sustainable long term service.

    Ep. 29: Janine Brito

    in Comedy

Holy crap, in the knick of time, Sabrina nabs Janine Brito (Chelsea Lately, Totally Biased) weeks before her move to LA. This episode can definitely be sorted in the SILLY pile but does not lack in the Barbara Walters interview quality you know and love from Jalees. As it turns out Janine has lived EVERYWHERE and through the magic of tales and sound effects, the girls travel the globe. Several original hit singles are improvised and Ursula Frei aka. MOM joins in at the end for a frank discussion about LOVE. Listen up or listen down, those are your options.

David Frei and Johnny Avello on the Westminster Dog Show

    in Pets

The NFL may have it's big game but the dog world has its too. The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City is dogdom's big game and right now there are k9s of every color, class and breed being primped and preened for the big game on February 13 and 14th in Madison Square Garden. On today's show we have two guests who have very intimate yet different histories with the famous show.
David Frei is the Voice of the Westminster Kennel Club, a commentator on the network television coverage, and the founder of Angel on A Leash, an advocacy for therapy dogs  in health care, schools, hospice, extended care, correctional facilities, and crisis intervention.
David's extensive background and intimate knowledge of the Westminster Kennel Club and the show itself make him a huge resource on the upcoming event.

Johnny Avello, the executive director of the Wynn Resort's Race and Sports book is one of the most successful and respected handicappers in the country. Yes, he sets the odds on which dogs have a leg up (sorry) going into the biggest competition of the year and he'll share those with Sandy and you on today's show.
You should know that while his odds are real, they are just for entertainment purposes, he won't take your bet, but if you have an office pool and want to put a yard on Fluffy in the Poodle class, then Johnny's insights could okay off.
