Ontario Country artist Tianna Woods has three nominations for the 2016 CMAO Awards - Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year & Album of the Year.
She has an EP coming out soon called Bring Your Own Sunshine featuring the title track single and Right Now. You'll hear these songs on this episode.
This summer she'll release an album called I've Got You Covered which will feature her favourite cover songs (hint: Reba & Merle Haggard may be two artists she'll cover.)
Tianna is trained in voice, acting, and dance (tap, hip hop, jazz, ballet and modern). She also plays 7 instruments: piano, guitar, saxophone, drums, clarinet, North American flute and fiddle.
She auditioned for and got the part of Anne for the musical Anne of Green Gables. She performed the show in Canada and then travelled to Japan to perform the show again for ten days in the Budokan Theatre, the same threatre the Beatles performed in. Tianna also toured the schools with her band, meeting and performing for the children of Japan.

Sunflare is a sextet that specializes in giving the mojito-flute twist to familiar classic and contemporary r&b songs, as well as playing traditional and modern latin jazz and “fusion” classics. The band covers material from Stevie Wonder, Spyro Gyra, Jeff Lorber Fusion, Steely Dan and Marvin Gaye to Snarky Puppy and Pharell, all meticulously arranged with an identity unique to the group. Sunflare likes to say that when describing their style, r&b also stands for “rice and beans.”
Joining them on the bill for the evening is the amazing Craig Alston Syndicate. John Kruth is a singer/songwriter/bandleader/poet/multi-instrumentalist (playing mandolin, guitar, banjo, flute, harmonica and sitar) with ten solo albums to his credit. Kruth is also music educator, journalist and author of three musical biographies to date. To Live’s To Fly (DaCapo), his 2007 biography of Townes Van Zandt was the recipient of the prestigious Deems Taylor Award. John also leads the popular NYC based world music group TriBeCaStan. As a sideman Kruth has performed and collaborated with John Prine, Laurie Anderson, Violent Femmes, King Missile, Hal Willner, Patti Smith, Allen Ginsberg, Liz Swados, Sam Shepard and Ornette Coleman.

BEN DAVIS (Captain Georg Von Trapp) starred as Fred/Petruchio in Kiss Me Kate at London's Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms with the John Wilson Orchestra which was broadcast live on BBC 3 Radio and on Christmas Day on TV on BBC 2. He has appeared on Broadway as The Preacher in Violet, Mr. Lindquist in A Little Night Music with Elaine Stritch and Bernadette Peters, Javert and Enjolras in Les Misérables, and as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie. He received a Tony® Honor and Ovation Award for his work as Marcello in Baz Luhrmann's Broadway production of La Bohème and can also be heard on the cast recording. He toured as Galahad in Spamalot and regional shows include Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music at Paper Mill Playhouse, Curly in Oklahoma at The Muny as well as Emile in South Pacific at both The Muny and Asolo Repertory Theatre. He has performed opposite Kelli O'Hara and Victor Garber in Kurt Weill's Knickerbocker Holiday at Lincoln Center (Recorded Live) and opposite Ms. O'Hara in concert, as well as in the New York City Opera/BAM production of Anna Nicole, The Opera. His TV and film credits include Papageno in ??The Magic Flute directed by Kenneth Branagh, 30 Rock, Numb3rsand Miriam. He has performed with the RTÉ Orchestra in Dublin, Ireland, at The Hollywood Bowl as Older Patrick in Mame, with the LA Philharmonic as a soloist and in Bernstein’s Mass.
