Radio Show Host & Author Francis Eugene Wood
Francis Eugene Wood was born in Farmville, Virginia. He grew up in Brunswick County, near Lawrenceville, where he lived until moving back to Farmville in 1971. "I had a wonderful childhood, a good family, and all the adventures a boy should experience. The Lawrenceville I knew was small town America, and I was just a shy country boy. I did it all, from carrying papers to cutting grass, little league baseball, Boy Scouts, church and school activities. I became a part-time radio announcer at WLES-AM when I was fifteen. I had a big imagination, too, which served me well. I loved the forests and the river and felt a kinship with nature at an early age, which I've retained throughout my life. Many of my stories come from my past."

"While entrepreneurs come in all shapes and sizes, they all share the drive to do things that have never been done before, the belief that they can accomplish anything they put their minds to, and the need to get everything done as fast as they can. For a first time entrepreneur, this can be daunting, but TechStars is like a turbo rocket booster for the beginning of the journey."
The above is an excerpt from the forward written by Internet Entrepreneur Mark Pincus for the book "Do More Faster: Techstars Lessons To Accelerate Your Startup."
While many might not immediately recognize the name of Mark Pincus, anyone who has played FarmVille, FrontierVille and Mafia Wars on social networks such as Facebook or "has made an offer" that "can't be refused" over Twitter, is more than familiar with his company Zygna's social games.
Referring to what he calls Zygna Speed, Pincus jumped at the opportunity to write the forward for the new book by high tech VC's Brad Feld and David G. Cohen because as he put it Do More Faster "is a concept that is close to my heart."
Featuring experienced entrepreneurs or mentors as Pincus calls them, Do More Faster represents that unique spirit of collaboration based on a strong desire to see one another succeed that "ties
all entrepreneurs together."
What Feld and Cohen have in essence done is create the new "Great Game of Business" for the Internet Age, where entrepreneurs can learn how to move towards success at a speed that is faster than the speed at which information moves within the virtual realms in which they operate.
Joining me today to talk about their breakthrough and breakout book are the authors of Do More Faster Brad Feld and David Cohen.
Facebook is rolling out a new feature that alerts you to nearby friends; Zynga brings Farmville back to mobile devices and tech stocks gain on the day. WSJ's Mathew Passy on those stories and more.
A common obstacle we CONSCIOUSLY place in our way is TIME. When opportunities and possibilities present themselves to you that move your forward, how often do you give the excuse of time? Are you currently staying anchored to a life that doesn’t support the good you deserve because you believe there’s not enough time in the day for transformation?
If you have time to watch TV, if you have time to stand in line at Starbucks, if you have time to take a cigarette break, if you have time to play Farmville on Facebook, if you have time to complain that there’s not enough time, well guess what? You have TIME!
Join Michele Mattia on at 2 pm ET where she will discuss time management practices and squashing the blocks that we create in our consciousness surrounding time.
