The Resurrection Of Jesus Is Not A Cunningly Devised Fable

    in Spirituality

This episode of Pneumatikos will explore the sufficient nature of the resurrection accounts as given by the New Testament writers.  The writers of the New Testament documents were moved or borne along by the Spirit of God to produce the autographs.  None of the original autographs are in existence today.  We have, however, manuscript families, lectionaries, the writings of the church Fathers, and others material that are adequate witnesses for the Faith once for all delievered to the saints.  In other words we have convincing evidence for the resurrection of Jesus.  We do well to carefully consider it.

INCARNATIONS OF THE GODDESS WITH KATY TACKES, AUTHOR, EACH TIME SHE WAKES-SOPHIA

    in Culture

ENVISION THIS: “Once you express your will, the Universe will conspire with each and every atom to help you reach your destiny”  (from Each Time She Wakes-Sophia)

KATY TACKES emigrated from Persia to Canada, where her immense love and gratitude for Mother Nature blossomed. She has lived many places worldwide, reinforcing her belief that “we are all connected…we are One”. Through her love and studies of theosophy and ancient wisdom she continues her quest for Truth.

Katy’s book, Each Time She Wakes - Sophia, is a mystic tale of a young girl's quest for Truth and the unforeseen effects she has on the people she meets along her journey. Katy weaves together magic and allegory into a modern-day fable of wisdom and wonder that stirs one to self-discovery and transformation.

Your hosts, Burl and Merry Hall, are especially interested in Sophia, the Spirit of Wisdom, as is evident in their new book, Sophia’s Web: A Passionate Call to Heal Our Wounded Nature, so we are eagerly looking forward to this discussion with a fellow philosopher (lover-of-Sophia).

John Carver Show - Why Some People Hate You!

    in Self Help

On Sunday, May 24, 2015 I shared a sermon called "Why Some People Hate You."  The bulk of my talk came from the Biblical story of King Saul and David.  Here is some of what I shared:

6 It happened as they were coming, when David returned from killing the (Goliath) Philistine, that the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy and with [b]musical instruments. 7 The women sang as they [c]played, and said,

    “Saul has slain his thousands,
    And David his ten thousands.”

8 Then Saul became very angry, for this saying [d]displeased him; and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me they have ascribed thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?” 9 Saul looked at David with suspicion from that day on.

There is a fable of an eagle which could out fly another, and the other didn't like it. The latter saw a sportsman one day, and said to him:

"I wish you would bring down that eagle." The sportsman replied that he would if he only had some feathers to put into the arrow. So the eagle pulled one out of his wing. The arrow was shot, but didn't quite reach the rival eagle; it was flying too high.....

John Carver Show - There is no Victory...

    in Christianity

    There is no victory

    …without a team

Ecclesiastes 4 - 9 Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. 10 For if [c]either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not [d]another to lift him up. 11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they [e]keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if [f]one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. NASB

Living Bible says - 9 Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. 10 If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he’s in trouble.

11 Also, on a cold night, two under the same blanket gain warmth from each other, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And one standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer; three is even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

GREAT leaders understand that they can’t lead well without people who are around them that do their jobs well.

Real leaders, at every level, doesn’t need to have all the answers and endless levels of strength.

Have you ever heard of the Aesop Fable, “The Belly and the Members?”

One day it occurred to The Members (parts) of the Body that they were doing all of the work while the Belly got all of the food. They believed the Belly was lazy and unproductive.

It was decided that they would hold a meeting that evening to discuss how unfair this seemed. After what was a very long meeting that night it was voted on that The Members of the Body would go on strike until the Belly agreed to take its proper share of the work....

Martydom, Easter the Abomination of the Church

    in Christianity

                                                                      Acts 12: 1 -5

Easter=Eostre whch is named Ostara who was a Anglo-Saxon Goddess but comes from the Ancients such as Semiramis, Inanna, Ishtar,Isis, Astare, Asharoth, Queen Of Heaven, Diana & Mother Mary. There are many more names for the Easter Goddesses depending upon which country was worshipping her.Easter has nothing to do with Passover people and it never will becuse it was all a Fable, in which, God warned us about. If you celebrate Easter you are worshipping Semiramis the Wife of Nimrod & the Babylonian Queen, a she Devil. The tradition that  ministers in the Pulpit knows this also they just choose to keep a tradition that God is very much against. Jeremiah 44: 4 -30
