ObamaCare is a wealth-theft program that forces you to bend over and say "ahh"; Federal bureaucracy gets in the way of complex ongoing relationships that serve civil society, and ends with acts of state-sponsored terrorism; Forget Barack Obama's "equal pay" demagoguery - in the Obamaconomy, just about everyone is worse off (except Democrats, of course); The Left is trampling free speech for the sake of orthodoxy - but is it eating itself in the process?
The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) has been introduced in Congress every year since 1923. In case you’re counting, that’s 91 years. So, what’s the big deal? Women have equality already. Or do they?
The Oregon Constitution was written in 1857 and ratified in 1859. The state constitution says that “[n]o law shall be passed granting to any citizen or class of citizens privileges, or immunities, which, upon the same terms, shall not equally belong to all citizens.” Aren’t women protected by these words in Article 1, Section 20?
Yes...and no. Because equality is not expressly granted, it is left to case law to decide what is or is not “privileges” or “immunity.” In other words, judges decide based on precedents and rule according to their own interpretation for the situation.
So, what would change if the ERA is passed into law? Join us today as we ask grassroots activist, Leanne Littrell DiLorenzo about www.voteERA.org’s efforts to amend the Oregon Constitution to allow for equal rights for women. What is the three-state strategy? How does the Oregonian effort impact the national movement that still exists for ERA ratification?
LUNCH with LOUDEN - Jeanene Louden and co-host Debilyn Molineaux talk about current events and look for opportunities to bridge political divides, expose corruption and share information not covered in mainstream media.
After a crazy week, I'll be attempting, technology permitting, a special Labor Day edition of American Faith Today. On today's show I'll take a look at some of the political, cultural, and legal fall out of not only the Supreme Court decision with regard to the DOMA but the overall winds that blow across the land on this issue. They're actually blowing across the world on this issue. Christians are fighting what at times appears to be a frustrating losing battle as courts and legislatures across the land work to promote and protect a certain class or group of people over many in the majority. As I wanted to try to hit in in my Thursday show that went haywire, we can't be laser focused,as Obama might say, on making sure one class of people gets special rights or special favors and call it equality under the law. Someone else's rights always suffer as a consequence, and it's usually a Christian's. I'll take a look at some recent news items- some you've heard about. Maybe one or two you haven't. But I'll discuss these cases and also discuss what the core issue or the core question needs to be on American Faith Today!
Welcome to the Seriouside of the jril show. We will be discussing the following topics this morning:
1st SEGMENT: EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK
The numbers are staggering!! Women only make 77 cents for every dollar that is earned by men. How can the GOP continue not to support the Lillie Ledbetter act?
2ND SEGMENT: ALL OUT ASSAULT ON THE BLACK VOTE
Requiring people to show ID to vote…nothing wrong with that right? It is when the main purpose of the law is to suppress the black vote!! We will discuss.
3RD SEGMENT: REVISITING THE DAVONTAE SANFORD STORY
Four people were gunned down in a suspected drug house in 2007. A 14-year-old, partially blind, learning-disabled boy named Davontae Sanford confessed. But a month later, a convicted hit man told police he was the real murderer. We have an update on this story..
This episode of The Authentic Woman's originaly aired on April 7. We are re-broadcasting it this week to pay homage to those who have lost their lives in the fight for women's equality in America - especially in the fight for women's suffrage! And, of course, we would like to remember and thank the men and women in the United States Armed Forces who have died for our collective freedom.
Tonight's show shares the history of the Equal Rights Amendment's lengthy path to ratification. Most Americans are shocked to learn that there is still resistance to the ERA's ratification in 2014. Senator Ben Cardin held a Senate Briefing about the ERA this spring, featuring many longtime women's rights leaders whose speeches are shared in this episode, as well.
Hosted by women's rights leader Shannon Fisher, The Authentic Woman shares Perspectives on the Female Experience in America by delving deeply into the worlds of writers, artists, celebrities and community leaders - discovering their personal inspiration and passions. Shannon was named one of the “Richmonders of the Year” by Style Weekly for her activism in women’s rights.

The true equal is by fostering the unequal from societal perspective. The sure fire way to get it as close to the equal as possible creating a Win-Win scenario. As esoteric as that may sound (read)...I have a point.
There is a way to get it as close as possible without tearing down the good ones to achieve said goal!
Equality : that state of being the same in quantity or measure or value or status. In law, it means that citizens are given equal opportunities without discrimination of sex, blood, language, social origin or religion.
What if you was discriminated because of your race, beliefs, looks, age, gender etc. How would you feel?
Do you think equal rights should be EQUAL to ALL?
Do you agree/disagree with Gay Marriage?

Talk to you then,
Join us, Dr. Kim Bloomer and Dr. Jeannie Thomason, hosts of Animal Talk Naturally now for nearly nine years, we begin this new journey TOGETHER as we learn how our own feelings affect the health and well being of our animals. Our toxic thoughts CAN and often DO equal a toxic body but is that true for our animals?
On our last show we briefly mentioned how the ill health in us begins in our minds - 75-98% of ALL illness begins there. But what about our pets? Would that be true for them too since we don't and can't know what they are thinking and they sure aren't going to articulate it for us in a way we can understand, right? Join us and see what you THINK.
Join Doctor-Attorney Mayer Eisenstein, Vaccine Rights Attorney Alan Phillips, and special guest Dr. Paul King in the second half of the show as they discuss Obama's upcoming request to Congress for $1B to fight the "war" against Ebola; what peer-reviewed medical journals say about the effect of vitamins C and D, and probiotics, on viral illnesses; a medical study about the relationship between vaccine mandates and vaccination rates in healthcare workers; words of wisdom from the "Modern Alternative Mama" website; the practice of researchers finding fault with vaccines to declare that they are not "anti-vaccine" before criticizing vaccines; Dr. King's upcoming article about how influenza vaccines make you sick (available soon at dr-king.com), including, among other things, how only 18% of all cases claimed to be flu are influenza; which fundamental safety tests on vaccines are never conducted; whether or not vaccines are medically cost-effective; how health authorities' claims about vaccines keep changing over time, and how they lose credibility accordingly; the Supreme Court's declaration that vaccines are "unavoidably unsafe"; how 50% of U.S. children have at least one chronic disease, while 26% will have at least one chronic disease for the rest of their lives; the right in law, but not in practice, for people whose vaccine injury compensation claims that take too long in the vaccine courts to go to state court to litigate their claims; and more!
JUSTICE is the constant and perpetual disposition to render every man his due. It is the proper administration of the law; the fair and equitable treatment of all individuals under the law. Justice is also a title given to certain judges, such as federal and state supreme court judges. Justice is 1) fairness, 2) moral rightness, 3) a scheme or system of law in which every person receives his/her/its due from the system, including all rights, both natural and legal. One problem is that attorneys, judges, and legislatures often get caught up more in procedure than in achieving justice for all.
(Read more at http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/justice ).
At "Human Rights Demand," we believe that justice is unlikely to happen where lawmakers and justice officials have a conflict of interest. Demand the resignations of lawmakers, judges, public defenders, prosecutors, Justice Department personnel and everyone else on the public's payroll if they are also PRISON INVESTORS. That is the only way to decriminalize mental illness, eliminate mass incarceration, and restore justice to our courtrooms. Tell public employees to DIVEST OR RESIGN. We must rid our government of everyone whose stock portfolios perform best with mass incarceration, wars, and when environmental concerns are ignored. Ask your congressional representative to introduce a bill that prohibits all lawmakers and other public officials and their spouses from earning prison profits. Pass such a bill, and we will see positive Change in the justice system. Only when prison investors can no longer write laws, represent and prosecute defendants, or preside over criminal cases will any semblance of justice arrive in U.S. courts.
"No man can serve two masters [his constituents and his stock portfolio]: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other" - Matt. 6:24.
