Did you know that the word en·thu·si·asm (n-thz-zm) gets its roots from the Greeks and originally meant ecstasy that is inspired by God? In some instances, it implied possession by God. One definition is a positive impulse toward great accomplishment and the other a negative form of religious extremism. It seems that enthusiasm first appeared in the English language in 1603 but kept its ‘possession by God’ definition. Tune in this week as we discuss the original source of the word in Greek, which comes from the adjective entheos and means: the god within.
Listen as we talk about ways to realize and activate your personal power—a level of consciousness that fosters your ‘inner power’ as excitement, enjoyment, exuberance, liveliness, and spirit. Unrestrained and animated, it is the soul’s energy to manifest through 'guided' action whatever we desire.
The nature of God is one of the most argued about topics in any Human language. It is the single most important question that we are capable of exploring. If your believe that God exists at all, there are only two categories of belief which every other creed and philosophy descends from. In one camp God is "out there" watching over us. He is our creator and judge. All religions share this belief.
The other camp is just as certain, God is within and you are God. For thousands of years these two competing systems of believing have been in conflict with each other.
