SORT BY Relevancy
Regarding bypassing Congress, doing away with checks and balances, fifty-eight percent of Democrats think the president should take action alone if Congress does not approve his proposals. Eighteen percent of Republicans and 39 percent of voters not affiliated with either major party (independents) think similarly. This is the thought process we've come to expect from Democrats, but any percentage above zero from Republicans is surprising. They must have all been RINOs.
Obama's questionably legal action is bad enough. But that's not the worst of it, not by a long shot. It seems that a plurality of U.S. Democrats (and, sadly) some Republicans and independents think as Obama does. They think, despite the U.S. Constitution, that Obama should be able to do anything he wants if he thinks "it's the right thing to do."

Using Civil Rights Records to Find The Story In Your Community and Family
Please join genealogist and family historian Antoinette Harrell for a discussion of how and why researchers will want to explore the Civil Rights records to find relatives that were engaged in the Civil Rights movement throughout the South. Ms. Harrell will use a case example of Mr. Herbert Lee a Civil Rights leader from Amite County, Mississippi to illustrate what was documented in Federal Records about him.

RISE of the Phoenix Mermaid has been inspired, as always, by my personal walk and journey through the pages of the day to day parable that is my life! RISE is a compilation of a few songs that I wrote in 2006/7, at the point of the end of Floetry, that I didn't have the opportunity to share but have now reworked and finally am delighted to present to my audience, as well as a few completely new songs that I manifested in 2013, and I have also converted some of my favorite spoken word pieces into the Floetic ethos of song structure.

November 23rd, 2013 began a streak of three guest-hosting gigs in four weeks. I never did receive an adequate explanation for Mr. Gibbs' month-long attack of sloth (which is to say, I don't remember what it was). But you know me, I'm always willing to help, especially if it means getting the hallowed gold-pressed latinum KCAA microphone all to myself until I start growing as accustomed to the center seat of the starship Pistachio as the host. Kind of like "Captain" Riker in Best of Both Worlds.
Yes, that's foreshadowing.
Live podcasts resume Tuesday, March 10th.
