SORT BY Relevancy
Sunday, May 18, 2014, 3pm EST - Call-in (347) 857-3293. "Human Rights for Prisoners March" welcomes Dr. Earle Williams, a clinical and forensic psychologist, and Dr. Jean Kennedy, an organizational psychologist. The main topic will be recidivism.
The Justice Department will review applications for clemency and possibly release thousands of prisoners, according to the U.S. Attorney General's recent announcement. However, research by the Bureau of Justice Statistics shows that 67.5 percent of released prisoners are rearrested within three years, almost exclusively for felonies or serious misdemeanors. Dr. Williams and Dr. Kennedy are interested in improving the rate of success for released prisoners.

Reducing mass incarceration obviously requires more than simply releasing inmates. Let's meet the psychologists and discuss successful reentry on this broadcast, hosted by Mary Neal, director of the Human Rights for Prisoners March.
Thank you in advance for sharing the radio broadcasts on "Human Rights Demand" with your online networks.
