    Cool Gifts For Guys

    in Hobbies

We have a great show lined up for today’s episode of The Down and Dirty with Frank Fontana!

Our special guest co-host is one of the funniest and most talented women in comedy, Patti Vasquez.  You’ll have seen Patti on the program "My Life Is A Joke" on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, and TBS's "The Very Funny Show".  Patti is currently performing her hit one-woman show “Lipstick Mom”.

It’s that festive time of year again, and today we’ll be looking at some great gifts for guys….

Former NASCAR race car driver, Joe Fox, will be joining us to talk about his Dirtball fashion.  Dirtball's clothing and accessories use only eco-friendly, recycled materials including recycled water bottles!
We’ll also have Julie Norton and John Grosche from Craftsman to talk about the latest tools we’re all dying to have in our tool kits, as well as the uber-stylish Harley Davidson tool storage, which is the perfect place to keep them all.

And finally, we’ll be talking to Daniel Caudill, Creative Director of Shinola, a Detroit-based company dedicated to producing American-made products.  Detroit is super-cool right now and Shinola partners with highly skilled, talented artisans to create their beautifully crafted collection of watches, bicycles and leather goods.

We hope you’ll join us and get a little Down and Dirty….!

    Escape Clothes

    in Fun

Nutmeg had some technical difficulties from the get-go: it took her 3 times to play her intro music, and when she tried to play J Will's "Already Know", the switchboard would only play the first few seconds and stop. After 4tries she gave up. Nutmeg defines "Escape Clothes": getting showered, dressed and the whole nine yards and going to bed that way, so all one has to do when he/she wakes up, is roll out of bed, throw some shoes on, stick a comb through the hair and a brush to the teeth. Nutmeg wears escape clothes quite often because it is a huge time saver in the mornings, and she doesn't care if you think she's a dirtball. She apologizes for not being prepared for this episode, even though she had 2 weeks to prepare because she didn't do a show last week, but Nutmeg was tired. Nutmeg talked about her recent vacation to Tuckerton NJ and played some tunes, and intermittently rambled. Nutmeg also went to to say that she found a cheap copy place online, and once she places the order, will gladly send a free copy of her book of poetry and short stories to anyone who is interested. Music Selection: - Americans in a Basement–"They Said There Would Be Cake" - The Jersey Syndicate– "Shining Knight" - Fursley Adams–"Homeless in Brooklyn (In the Morning)"- Syrenn–"Deathless" - Angie–"ABC’s" - Tronicity–"100 Different Reasons" - Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds–"Boom Boom" - Juanes–"La Camisa Negra" - Kenneth R–"Incommunicado"; Online BTR chatroom: Gabriel Quijas from the "Drunk in the AM" show, Ronnie Rucker from the "Beneath Everything" Show, Michael Long from the "Journey Into The Light" show
