Business futurist Robert Tercek says in his upcoming book Vaporized: Solid Strategies for Success in a Dematerialized World, "Digital technology will transform every sector and economic system on the planet in almost unimaginable ways."
Big data analytics are at the core of the transformation, and in many cases the means to succeed throughout that transformation. Tercek, who has provided strategic insight to Turner Broadcasting, PBS, and other digital firms, will join All Analytics Radio on Tuesday, August 18, at 2 pm EDT to discuss the role of analytics in the digital transformation.
In his book, due for release in September, Tercek explores the role that big data is playing, and how it can be an asset or a liability, how companies can optimize the use of apps, and how the Internet of Things will impact consumers.
In this show you also will learn about:
A revolution in retail
Which jobs are unlikely to be replace by robots
How companies must define their proprietary data as an asset, and utilize it
October 19, 2015. General election day in Canada. Perhaps the last chance to prevent the irreversible changes to the country that Harper and his machine want to execute. The number of issues caused by CPC malfeasance to this point is never ending. They have had a decade to pervert this once respected nation into insignificance. Internationally and domestically.
Since 2008, OpenMedia.ca has been a leading voice in keeping Canadians aware, informed and able to counteract the measures taken against digital rights. The Declaration of Internet Freedom has five fundamental principles. Expression. Access. Openness. Innovation. Privacy.
Shaped by more than 250,000 people and launched last week, "Canada's Digital Future" is a crowd-sourced election platform packed with ideas from everyday citizens. This initiative of digital rights is urging people to consider Canada's digital future when casting their vote this election. While OpenMedia won’t be endorsing any political party, it does plan to meet the main parties and report back as to which are most committed to implementing its platform. Thousands of people have already pledged to vote for the future of the Internet in the upcoming election.
“Whether it’s telecom price-gouging, reckless spying legislation, or abusive copyright notices, failed digital policies are hurting Canadians,” said OpenMedia’s communications manager David Christopher. “Young people in particular are speaking up for a better way forward, because Canada can’t afford to keep falling behind our international counterparts. That’s why this election will be the most important Canadian Internet users have ever faced.” David joins us to tell us about how your digital rights are under attack. And what OpenMedia.ca is doing on our behalf.

An ‘e’ in front of any word changes our expectation of that item. eBooks exemplify that point… what makes an eBook a book and what makes it ‘e’lectronic? In pK-12 most learners have expectations of how they interact with these digital assets based on their home life and their familiarity with the Internet, browsers, and dynamically generated content. Here two cultures collide… the organized structure of school and the dynamic nature and expectations of digital assets. In this show we will discuss the tug-of-war between the the market requirements and the user expectations, the changing nature of those expectations, and the evolving technical and business challenges. The discussion should elucidate some of the key issues so you know what you’re getting into when you say “eBook ’em Danno!”

Joining Kevin Fobbs, host of Standing at Freedom’s Gate, will be Rebecca Mahan and Hallie Neill.
They will discuss whether the criminalization of Christianity is the new reality in America, how it may impact every place of worship in America and what Christians need to do to defend and protect their civil rights. Join the call to action for American Christian Civil Rights on the next Standing at Freedom’s Gate podcast.
For many Christians the criminalization of Christianity was launched when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage in June. This decision for many Christian leaders as well as four dissenting justices represented a possible disenfranchisement of Christian civil rights and was in direct confrontation with the U.S. Constitution.
The American Christian Civil Rights Movement (ACCRM) arose from the aftermath of the decision. ACCRM’s goal is the uniting of churches and Christians to defend and protect Christian civil rights. Hallie Neill, ACCRM’s director of media and communication, stressed that the organization is mounting an organized national effort to protect Christian faith, freedom and rights provided in the First Amendment.
Anti-poverty programs that were put in place as a safety net have instead created a cycle of generational dependency we call the welfare state. Government assistance is no longer a temporary condition, but has become a way of life.
At the same time, big government spending has created $18 trillion dollars in national debt and there appears to be no end in sight. Entitlements and government spending are on an unsustainable course.
The easy answer to this problem is to stop spending.
Many will say that America needs tax reform or a balanced-budget amendment. Although these are good ideas, Dr. Jerome Huyler, explains in his book, "The Case Against Welfare," the best way to correct the problem is to defund Obamacare and dismantle the welfare state. This includes anti-poverty programs, earmarks, business bailouts, farm subsidies and many other entitlements.

Finding "the one" is a centuries-old quest; but neither Adam nor Eve had to log in to an app to make a love connection, and Tarzan found Jane without ever having to swipe left. And though Romeo and Juliet certainly had their share of obstacles, losing a WiFi connection was never one of them.
If you’re looking for love, you have probably heard that many people are using Facebook, Skype, IM, Chat, Second Life, Tinder and other on-line dating apps/sites to connect with a current or hopefully new love! So, this begs to ask, is love in the digital age as fun, flirty and exciting as traditional friendships and relationships? Can finding love on-line lead to a long lasting and committed relationship or is it just a recipe for disaster.
Tune in to our inaugural episode, Friday, June 12, 2015 @ 9pm where we will explore these questions and talk to people who have managed to find love online.
