Spring Forward With Daylight Savings Time Hello and Welcome to the Dj Blog Network I'm Randy Johnson, and in today's post it is Spring Forward With Daylight Savings Time, which means set your clocks up an hour tonight before you go to bed, which means it's they're going to be a lot of drowsy people and kids when Monday morning rolls around.
Did I get your attention? LOL Sorry this show notice is late in coming. Yours truly attended a "candidate forum" tonight (Oct 29) not a debate but a forum. Why? Cause in case you missed it, I'm a county commissioner candidate. No wise or stupid cracks!
So open phones for you all to open that can of worms before this coming Tuesday Nov 4 BS election. The big day we the people are supposed to take our government back. Yeah...right. Did you write to Santa yet?
See something say something....hell we can spew that crap too!
Now that Daylight Saving Time is here here yet again, it's time to ponder and discuss it's merits and drawbacks. Of course, for all the people who like or even love it there are a certain percentage of people who can pretty much do without it. Your host, "The Voice", is one of those people. And there's other less important stuff like the lights that were seen by NASA on the newly-discovered (?) dwarf planet. And the homeless guy fatally shot by a police officer in Los Angeles and why there is not a lot of media coverage and mercifully no public outrage. And now there's talk of rats in the New York City subway system that carry fleas that can cause Bubonic Plague. But, hey, none of that's important compared to Daylight Saving Time............Right?

On this morning's program, the hosts will explore all of the latest trends in health savings accounts and self-funding with two special guests. The first guest will be Chad Wilkins, EVP and head of HSA Bank. The rise in health care costs, a shift to consumer-directed health plans and legislative changes are driving the future of health care and are expanding the role of health savings accounts. Additionally, recent studies have indicated a majority of Americans are not prepared to pay for essential expenses in retirement – including the cost of health care. In this segment, Chad Wilkins joins us to bring HSA Bank’s perspective on these industry trends and their impact on employers and consumers. We’ll also explore opportunities for industry providers to participate in emerging trends and maximize the value they provide to their constituents.
For the second segment, starting at 11:30 a.m. (ET), the hosts will welcome Cheryl DeMars, president and CEO, The Alliance, to the program for a discussion on self-funding. The Alliance, a cooperative of employers that self-fund their health benefits, developed the QualityPath initiative to create a path to high quality care at a lower cost. The Alliance QualityPath program is one of few nationwide that measures the performance of a specific doctor at a specific hospital. Other innovative elements include bundled payments and paying close attention to the patient experience with 100 percent coverage of procedure costs, a 90-day warranty and shared decision-making.
