Former Illinois running back/fullback Carey Davis joins Joe Lisi on The Weekly Bitz. Davis played from 2000-2003 and caught 114 passes for 751 receiving yards with 5 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,012 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground.
Davis was a tough hard nosed player that played the game with intensity and heart. Davis had a blue collar attitude that epitomized the Illini team. Davis played special teams and did the "dirty" work between the tackles. He was an outstanding blocker and utilized in the passing game because of his pass catching ability. Davis was an all-around back that was the ultimate team player. He played the game with great emotion and played every down with his best effort.
Davis became an undrafted free agent in 2004 and played in the NFL from 2004-2010 winning a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers in their victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Tampa Bay.

On the Wednesday, February 11th 2015 broadcast at 1PM Eastern and 10AM Pacific our special guest is Amy Baxter, MD Founder and CEO MMJ Labs which is dedicated to personal pain control.
'As a pain researcher, when her son had unnecessarily traumatic routine vaccinations, she knew there must be a better way. Dr. Baxter invented, tested, got over 1M in grant funding, researched, and ultimately developed manufacturing for Buzzy and other Personal Pain Products.'
According to MMJ Labs website:
'Buzzy® is a reusable breakthrough personal pain device that provides natural pain relief. Gate control is the basis for Buzzy®, physiologically overwhelming the body’s pain nerves with benign cold (ice wings) and vibration (Buzzy’s body). Like a dentist jiggling a jaw or putting a burned finger under cool water, cold and vibration control sharp pain from shots, cosmetic injections and IVs, and temporarily relieve muscle soreness and burning from medications. Independently verified research shows Buzzy works!'

Modern Combat Masters Host Professor Darrell Sarjeant and his Co-Host, Kancho Dan Vena are proud to present Soke Billy Davis Ju Jutsu, Dei Bi Su Ryu Ju Jutsu.
Soke Billy Davis was born June 1937. At the age of nine, he began his studies of the martial arts after being beat up. He vowed, “I'm gonna do something about it!” Thus, he began training in the Art of Judo under Sensei Joe Carpenter. Judo was the only martial art taught around that time. Judo was taught as a gentle method, a non aggressive art. Approximately four months later, he met a gentleman who his father brought home to visit from the Merchant Marines, Sensei Batensour. Sensei Batensour began teaching Soke Davis the art of Ju Jutsu. After three years of training, at the age of twelve, he was promoted to Brown Belt. In 1953, at the age of sixteen, he was promoted to Black Belt. He entered the US Air Force, and due to his knowledge in Judo and Ju Jutsu, was stationed in Tokyo, Japan as an instructor of hand to hand combat. It was during this time that Soke Davis learned the Art of Taiho Jutsu, a very devastating expression of Ju Jutsu from the Tokyo Military Police. In 1959, Soke began teaching his combination of Judo, Ju Jutsu, and Taiho Jutsu. His first student is today, a living legend, Hanshi Rico Guy. Over the next twelve or so years, Soke trained in a variety of locations with several leading teachers. During this time, Soke stayed independent mastering the information he learned previously.

Dr Clasen has been in Academic Medicine in several states and decades, including time with the famous Arthur Guyton, PhD (of Guyton's Medical Physiology).
Dr Jonas and Dr Clasen worked together at Ohio State and Wright State (but Dr Clasen was the boss) and may reminisce a bit on this show.
