Nina has worked with many cultures in her decades of mediation work. She will share concepts such as the different ways of looking at fairness, how cultures respond to conflict and why they have dissimilar desires as to their goals and outcomes, how people express the same emotion in a variety of ways, and why it is a common mistake to "pretend to be in someone else's shoes". This very practical 30 minutes will help you understand some of the diversity across cultures that can create problems and explore positive steps in working through the conflict.
Nina Meierding has assisted in the resolution of thousands of disputes and has conducted training throughout the world, including Canada, Sweden, Ireland, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and India. Special Guest vibing with us Rashida Strober the Dark Skin Activist. Part 1: We'll hear from our new sistar on thoughts about our men and the whole dark skin like skin ordeal and explain her views on the Kendrick Lamar blog that had everyone talking. Part 2: Do other cultures treat their women better than the American Black Man? Is it the images that are on television? Do most people feed into the negative images of Black couples? Many cultures make statements that the Black Man in America disrespect their women or the Black Man needs to learn how to be a MAN. Do you think that most cultures have a clue as of what's going on within our culture as Black Americans? Are we as women except to be treated like other women in other races or should we want to be treated as a Queen by our own men?

Throughout history, there have been two grand questions that humanity has yet to be able to answer. The most debated, and the most impossible to answer, is the existence of God, or any sort of higher being, collective, etc. – something greater than ourselves. Something that gives us purpose and meaning. Most cultures, religions, and philosophies agree, or at least hope, that this will be answered upon our arrival into The Great Unknown – death. The other question that plagues us is one which we hope to have an answer for within our lifetimes, and move forever closer to it – are we alone in the universe? Is there other sentient life besides that on planet Earth? Logic seems to dictate the answer is yes – our universe is infinite; its possibilities endless. But for every solid argument for, there is one just as solid against. Do some of us definitively know the answer? And are they hiding it? Or shouting it from the rooftops, only to fall on the deaf ears of the skeptical?
Dr. Hildy® welcomes returning guest Veronica Hendricks to discuss aliens. For hundreds of years, since mankind first developed instruments to observe other worlds, we have wondered if they were inhabited just as ours. As our technology has grown, we have learned with near certainty that ours is the only inhabited planet in our solar system. But there are trillions of solar systems in billions of galaxies, and ours is but one... through our fictional storytelling, our beliefs – that there is other life, that we have not learned all there is to know.

Too many times I have been told, "you are an American and you have to fix you ways!" Other times the ones close to me have told my children, who are Ethiopian, "your dad is an American and you shouldn't listen to everything he says!"..... Others seem to think that I am a better Muslim, because of my being born here and having accepting Islam. What is myth and what is truth???
Lets talk about this and discuss the different cultures and the pro's and con's thereof!
