Charlie Crist "In his own words"
Guests for next Week
Join Leslie Wimes, Dr. Vincint Polite and Attonry Joseph Haynes Davis as we discuss flip flooping former Governor Charlie Crist! Should we take him at his word or look at his past?

Join the crew of Ringside and Eson Crist, author of "The Holy Grail; Building a Powerful World", had a tremendous spiritual awakening one night at a very low point that put all of the pieces of information together in his head. 'The Holy Grail' reveals the secrets of the Universe by understanding how energy flows. The book details how to harness massive amounts of energy to create strength and value. By understanding how the Universe operates, we can simply modify our input parameters to create the result we desire. If one contains a high level of value and possesses a high degree of strength, people and money will follow...abundance is attracted to you and not 'chased like a dog'.
This week I discuss the Republicans insistence on having an eighth Benghazi investigation. I'll also have an update on the situation with Russia and Ukraine and I will talk about the Boko Haram kidnapping of the 200 girls in Nigeria. If we have time I will discuss some of the other news of the week.
At the end we will have our trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively. The special theme for our Hall of Fame and Shame this week is Charlie Crist and issues of Racism in the Republican Party.
If you want to write to me and give me your opinion of any topic I cover, write to firstname.lastname@example.org and I may just read your opinion on the air. Again that’s email@example.com
Charlie Crist will make it official Nov. 4 in St. Petersburg, his hometown.
The former, next Governor Charlie Crist will declare his intentions Monday morning in downtown Straub Park. That's near where he announced in 2010 that he was leaving the GOP to run for U.S. Senate as an independent.
"When you allowed me to be a governor, I worked to be the people's governor every day. You the people were in charge," Crist says, with a beach in the background. "I'm an optimist, but let's face it, the past few years have been tough: government on the fringes, donors and politics above you, the people. You've seen the attacks — against full-time working people and their health care, against women and their doctors, against teachers, public schools and college affordability. And even against the simple act of casting your vote. It's not working. Only you the people can end this nonsense and get us back to common sense. That's the way forward. Tell me how I can help. Share your comments with me here. I'll read every last one. I work for you, the people. Always have and always will."
We had issues connecting with our guest via Skype but after 2:46 min we get it sorted so please hang in there and keep listening!
Our guest on Thursday, August 21st at 3:00 pm PST/ 6:00 EST on Metalsmith Benchtalk is Fred Crist.
Participate in the live interview by joining us in the chatroom or send a message to the Whaley Studios's Facebook Page! :)
Fred Crist established FACrist/Metalsmith in 2007. He is an educator in great demand whose work is widely collected and exhibited. The following is an excerpt from his 2011 interview with Iceforge.
“Forging metal has always been my choice of material and process as a sculptor and craftsman. From the time I was first introduced to this direct manipulation of metal as a student at Philadelphia College of Art in 1974, (under the direction of Jack Andrews) I was captivated by its potential as a sculptural medium.
Upon graduation, with a BFA in Sculpture, I began working at Samuel Yellin Metalworkers in West Philadelphia in 1977. This studio, renowned for its excellence in hand forged architectural works dating back to 1906, was to be my training ground for the next eleven years. Here I began as an apprentice and worked my way up to Head Blacksmith. While at the Yellin Studio I assisted and lead on many major projects, involving reproduction of original Yellin work as well as restoration of works in need of repair."
