Do you suffer from constipation, or are you curious as to what exactly “normal” bowel habits are? Many people suffer from constipation at some point in their lives, whether it is short-lived or chronic. As this is a rarely discussed topic, many people are unaware of what constitutes healthy bowel habits. Today's show will discuss constipation and some of the factors that contribute to it, tips to decrease constipation, and physical therapy treatment. Please join me today as we discuss this issue that affects so many people, yet is seldom addressed. I am a Physical Therapist that treats the pelvic floor, and I work with patients who suffer from constipation on a regular basis. I hope you enjoy the show and find the information useful.
A new and interesting show!!! A Mom in Australia asked our "merry methylation" detectives to help her little girl.
She is 5 years old with Mood / Aggression / Anxiety / Tics / Constipation..... What could it be? Is it PANDAS? PANS? Methylation problems? Mitochondrial dysfunction? Or something else?
On Monday, November 10th at 8PM eastern (USA) , (That is 12 noon, Tuesday Nov 11 in Melbourne OR 11am Tuesday, Nov 11th in Brisbane), Dr. Jess Armine will moderate a discussion group of clinical detectives to help ascertain the root cause(s) and subsequent downstream effects of this little one's malady.
Our expert anel will include Sterling Hill* (creator of mthfrsupport.com and "Sterling's app"), Clinician Cynthia Smith*, Clinician Shawn Bean*, and Yours Truly (of course)

The phrase “death begins in the colon” was commonly discussed in the early years of the natural health movement in the 1970’s and 80’s. It is really the whole digestive system that needs addressed, including the stomach. The subtlety of the digestive process is little understood by most people. Toxicity is a major cause of distress and ill health. Poor food choices and habits lead to indigestion and constipation, with an accumulation in the colon of gummy toxic residues. This leads to toxins being reabsorbed and recycled through out the body that irritate tissues and deteriorate organs. Detoxification and repopulation of the intestines with healthy probiotics are crucial for restoration of good health.
Here is an interesting and maybe even creepy thought… did you know that your body is predominantly made of foreign microorganisms by a ratio of 100 to 1?!?!?! Let me translate - you are 99% not you! But these microorganisms that share our body space are literally essential to your very survival and should be considered your best friends! You simply MUST take very good care of them!
Unfortunately, in this day and age where stress, toxins, the unbridled use of antibiotics and the lack of consuming traditional cultured foods, we are harming them far more than we are helping them... help us.
In this episode, Dr. Budweiser, founder of Weiser Living will talk about these microscopic creatures and how their survival is intrinsically linked to yours!
The points he will cover are as follows:
What Is Your Microbiome?
The Importance Of Gut Health
Good Bacteria vs Bad Bacteria Ratio
What Kills Your Intestinal Flora?
How It Affects Your Immune System
How To Restore Your Gut Flora
Fermented & Cultured Foods
High Quality Probiotic Supplements - Why Take Them & What To Look For
A Healthy Gut = Longevity
So be sure to stay tuned for a 30 minute microbial buffet of information!
