Collaborative Advantage through Working Digitally. Why being engaged in THAT means more than anything else to do with Employee Engagement.
We work in ways that are different now to what they were 2 years ago. Cloud, social, open and shared workspaces have entered the fray as ways to describe a new format for getting things done in knowledge work particularly. Social Media has changed the way we think about connecting, sharing and learning from each other and Email is more questionable than ever as a good way to work.
More organisations are turning to digital tools that have a more social way of interacting in that they are:
Open to all
Conversationally themed, and where
Information is drawn down by people rather than fired at from on high.
So what does that do to employee engagement you might wonder?
Perry Timms - independent HR practitioner and Social Media & Engagement Adviser to the CIPD shares his views on why this will become the most important thing for organisations to focus on and NOT their employee engagement once-a-year survey.

Narrative mediation is a culturally focused practice that is based upon the notion that our lives are shaped by the stories that people tell about us and by the stories that we tell ourselves. The goal of the narrative mediator is to co-author stories that highlight strengths and competencies, rather than conflict. It helps people separate themselves from conflict-saturated stories and gives them the opportunity to re-author relationships in more peaceful, cooperative, and respectful ways. From this alternative position, the resolution of conflict can often happen much more smoothly and effectively than in traditional problem-solving approaches.
Dr. Gerald Monk is a Professor in the Department of Counseling and School Psychology at San Diego State University and has a primary role in training Marriage and Family Therapists. Gerald is a practicing Marriage and Family Therapist in California and a mediator and trainer in collaborative divorce practices and a conflict resolution consultant in health care. Jules Kuperberg is Co-Executive Director of the MSF. A graduate of Northern Michigan University and a seasoned business executive, he has served in various capacities since joining in 1991. Jules takes great pride in his involvement in the evolution of the MSF from that of a regional agency into a multidimensional national service organization. His responsibilities include overseeing fund development and general operations.
Jules developed MSF’s national campaign center, one of the few outbound fund raising and public awareness call centers in the nation directly owned and managed by a charitable organization. Jules was among the founders of the Multiple Sclerosis Coalition, an affiliation of leading MS organizations dedicated to fighting MS through various collaborative initiatives. He currently serves as its Vice President.
A co-host of the MSF online educational video series, Living Well with MS, his greatest satisfaction comes from the impact the MSF has made in people’s lives through the years.
Hear interview with Linda Murphy as we try to figure out the out of control Education System being led with the one-size fits all mentality of Common Core. Unfortunately, Common Sense is being left behind and so are the children. The Common Core Standards Initiative is setting up children to be harmed when Parental Authority is replaced by "nationalization" by people who thinks the Government Collaborative Efforts are better. Facts such as more parental input makes dramatic difference (as in the undeniable success of homeschooling are ignored.)

This is a recorded program. Both KaliSara and RevKess have family obligations this weekend.
On September 24th, RevKess and Sharon Knight had a friendly conversation via Skype/cell while she was in Arkansas visiting SJ Tucker and doing a couple of gigs with that other beautiful songstress. Sharon took a little time that morning to visit about her music, her career, and her plans for the future.
As a special music edition of Pagan-Musings, RevKess and KaliSara are proud to present to you over two hours of music and conversation with Sharon Knight. Included in this edtion are pieces of music from several of Sharon's albums and collaborative projects - including pieces from her release with T Thorn Coyle (Songs for the Waning Year), some dark music from Pandemonaeon (featuring Winter), and some of Winter's instrumental music with Raven on a CD called 345 S.
Technical note: The interview was recorded with RevKess on Skype and Sharon Knight on her cell phone. Every trick that RevKess knows to clean up and balance audio was employed, but there are some minor audio issues that just couldn't be corrected with his limited skills.
Sharon's music and her tour schedule can be found at www.sharonknight.net.
NOTE: RevKess made an error during the recording. Romany Rivers will be joining KaliSara and RevKess on the 26th. The 19th is Practical Astrology - Dark of the Year. We apologize for the confusion.
