Taylor "Gator" Phillips and Ed Smith recap what went down in the following games:
Rutgers Scarlet Knights/Michigan Wolverines
Michigan State Spartans/Nebraska Conhuskers
Red Wings/Toronto Maple Leafs
Dallas Stars/Red Wings
Pistons/Portland Trail Blazers
Taylor also previews the upcoming game between his Central Michigan Chippewas and the no-longer-undefeated Toledo Rockets, who suffered an upset loss at home to the Northern Illinois Huskies. That game begins at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mt. Pleasant at CMU Tuesday at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Both he and Ed also preview the Wings/Caps and Pistons/Kings.
Taylor "Gator" Phillips and Ed Smith discuss FOX Sports Detroit dropping the ball by showing Red Wings TV viewers the commercials instead of Sergei Fedorov celebrating his Hockey Hall Of Fame with a pregame ceremonial puck drop before the team's game against the Washington Capitals and analyze that game.
We also recap the Pistons/Kings game and preview the rest of their west-coast road swing in LA.
We brielfy break down why the Green Bay Packers will beat the Lions at Lambeau Field again and rag on Sheldon White's "win-now edict" and "no rebuild" message from Martha Ford.
And some College Football In The Mitten talk about Maryland Terrapins at Michigan State Spartans, Michigan Wolverines at Indiana Hoosiers, and Toledo Rockets at Central Michigan Chippewas.
Plus we discuss what players the Tigers are showing interest in and them adding Jay Sartori as senior director of baseball operations and analytics.
Monday night at midnight for 30 minutes! Call in live at (646) 478-4837!
Ed Smith and I recap Indiana Hoosiers/Michigan State Spartans, Central Michigan Chippewas/Ball State Cardinals, and Minnesota Vikings/Detroit Lions, while the Michigan Wolverines are finished having their bye week before moving on to Minnesota for the little brown jug.
Breaking news: The Lions fire offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn, and assistant offensive line coach Terry Heffernan. Jim Bob Cooter will take over, which won't bode well for the franchise.
We also rant together on why and how this awful Red Wings' defense is still paper-thin-skinned after blowing one in overtime to the Calgary Flames, and it starts from the top with a washed-up shill defenseman in Kyle Quincey. Oh, and they played the Canucks in Vancouver the night after as well. But I'll bet you all already know that, too.
Finally, we preview the Pistons' 2015-2016 NBA regular season and predict how they'll finish.
Tonight at midnight for 30 minutes! Call in live at (646) 478-4837!
Ed Smith and I preview the following regional football matchups: Week 8 of College Football in the Mitten: Indiana Hoosiers/#7 Michigan State Spartans and Central Michigan Chippewas/Ball State Cardinals, and Week 7 of the 2015 NFL regular season Minnesota Vikings/Detroit Lions.
We also pick apart this dumb article that Jack Mullen of Fansided's Octopus Thrower headlining that the "Detroit Red Wings should trade Teemu Pulkkinen". Ummm... What???? That sounds beyond crazy!!!!!! I have at least a few reasons why it SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!!!!!
The Tigers General Manager Al Avila announced that Brad Ausmus will remain their manager for the 3rd and final year of his contract. Ed Smith and I analyze why Ausmus may be better than Ron Gardenhire, the man Justin Spiro reported earlier was going to be the next manager.
We also recap Week 4 of College Football in the Mitten involving the Central Michigan Chippewas/#2 Michigan State Spartans and #22 BYU Cougars/Michigan Wolverines matchups and Week 3 for the Lions at home against the Denver Broncos.
Plus, what is going on with the Wings in overtime this preseason? They're 0-3 in the new 3-on-3 extra frame thus far. Are they only getting warmed up? Or do they need to improve?

This week on Mid-American Hustle Alex and Bryan are joined by Hustle Belt contributor Chris Manning to recap the week that was, look to the future, and answer some MACtion fan questions.
This episode starts off with a lengthy discussion of this week's biggest MAC news: The Central Michigan player legal issues. CMU announced Monday that Thomas Rawls is suspended indefinitely, and we've now found out that he's facing three felony theft charges from an incident that happened in April. Also Monday, CMU dismissed Andrew Flory from the team. Flory was one of two CMU players arrested over the summer for shoplifting from a Walmart. Taking in the previous arrests of players from Dan Enos' team, the three discuss what this means for Enos' tenure at CMU and ask the question: does Enos have control of his team?
At the 17 minute mark (yes, this is a LONG episode) the three recap what happened in Week 3, including the biggest surprises and best performances of the week. At the 28 minute mark they begin looking ahead at Week 4. At the 37 minute mark they answer some questions from the Hustle Bag, and finally, at the 45 minute mark Bryan and Chris answer the question, "Is Ohio's offense too conservative?".
