BGEA reads like a gay-friendly support group. It's the opposite. The late Rev. Billy Graham;s son Franklin now heads daddy's church-like object. He doesn't care for homosexuals or equal rights and positively hates same-sex marriage. Lately he's calling for a boycott of Wells Fargo and other companies who support equality and gay rights.
The proximate cause of the boycott call was that Wells Fargo used a TV ad that showed two women learning sign language and signing to a little girl they were adopting that they were going to be her mommies.
Many wee-brained folk live by such bluster and bombast. I'll speak about a few, such as MA-based MassResistance. They are a small but loud and yet dwindling group. I have heard their only continuous member, their leader, spout anti-gay rhetoric since long before the group started, when we were both members of a computer society here. He could work homophobic lingo into even geek speak.
These anti-equality folk promise much and deliver little to nothing. They pick up on effective left-wing boycott talk and action, only to fail again and again.
Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy this week, so now the score is one clown car and one Scooby van with a whole bunch of reporter clowns chasing after it. MOMocrats Cynematic, Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills talk about Hillary's announcement video and talking tour, and compare it with the bombast of the Republican field, as well as the absence of any serious challengers to Mrs. Clinton. ALSO: the epidemic of killings of unarmed African-Americans at the hands of police, the Atlanta 11 - and Equal Pay Day (which happened to occur just before tax day).
THE FOURTH OF YOU LIED ABOUT FREEDOM
When is freedom coming to the oppressed?
Today, JULY 4, 2014…11 a CST/12p EST…Call/Chat/Listen ~ 347-637-3074
On July 5, 1852, the late Frederick Douglass delivered his profound speech “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” In his speech he profoundly exclaimed:" What, to the American slave, is your 4th of July? I answer: a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim. To him, your celebration is a sham; your boasted liberty, an unholy license; your national greatness, swelling vanity; your sounds of rejoicing are empty and heartless; your denunciations of tyrants, brass fronted impudence; your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery; your prayers and hymns, your sermons and thanksgivings, with all your religious parade, and solemnity, are, to him, mere bombast, fraud, deception, impiety, and hypocrisy — a thin veil to cover up crimes which would disgrace a nation of savages".
Douglass expressed how the 4th of July (YOU- LIE) lack any significance for the black population that remained in bondage.
With this said, is it ludicrous for Africans in America/ Blacks/Moors/Nubians, etc. to celebrate this national holiday?
Call in to share your thoughts and what are you doing on this day.

This week on Third Eye Cinema, we speak with a founding member of a long running symphonic power metal band that practically defined both genres, both inspiring and striking awe into all those who came in their wake!
With their penchant for several year, multi album ongoing storylines, operatic bombast and truly epic feel, they put out a staggering 10 albums, 2 EPs and a rather unique single which inspired a nonogenarian horror legend to front his own metal project thereafter!
Notable for a Dungeons and Dragons inspired immersive world building experience in audio, they employed choir and orchestra to a degree that few if any dared imitate.
Forefronting the sort of effusive emotionalism that could only come from the birthplace of Verdi and Puccini, the golden tones of core members Fabio Lione and the keyboard work and compositional skills of this man spearheaded and popularized the genres of both symphonic and power metal.
Join us as we speak of legendary tales and heroic doings, with Alex Starapoli of the legendary Rhapsody (of Fire), only here on Third Eye Cinema!
Week 68 (Sun. Dec. 15): Alex Starapoli of Rhapsody of Fire

We will chat and play some tracks from their latest album, Driven Back. Also on the show is guitarist Jimi Bell. Not only has he ‘perfected the shred,’ he does the theme music for WWE, and was 2nd finalist in the auditions for Ozzy’s guitarist, beaten out only by Zakk Wylde. He toured with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and is currently a member of House of Lords and Joined Forces. We will witness some of Jimi's sonic bombast and talk to Jimi about his music and his ultra-cool invention, “The Shredder.”

This Is She is about to turn lives upside down with the release of their new 6-song EP, Nobody Is Ok, gigs at mega events like Summerfest, a performance with Cobra Starship and the release of their video for the single "Grow Up". With success biting at their heels, This Is She steps outside the box of typical indie rock to deliver catchy hooks, driving rhythms and to create progressive rock n' roll laced with pop, dubstep and electronica. This Is She is set to present their Nobody Is OkEP to the rest of the world, available on iTunes July 3rd.This Is She ensued when Alana Grace (vocals), Ryan Folden (drums) and Christian Paul Meadows (guitar) met while performing at Warped Tour 2009. Alana Grace began materializing the idea behind her next musical venture and enlisted Folden and Meadows to pursue the new vision to eventually become This Is She. The trio stepped away from the traditional aspects of an indie rock band tapping into the dark side of rock incorporating a passion for dubstep and electronica to create a style all their own. This Is She relishes in their unique, unparalleled sound . The band delivers a blend of blissful pop, heavily-distorted rock music, and the bombast of modern electronic dance music, all punctuated by Grace's tortured, emotive, and always-soaring vocals. This ultramodern rock n' roll trio flawlessly delivers with their new single and video "Grow Up". The song highlights Grace's vocal elegance while morphing the powerful hard rock guitar riffs into memorizing and intense dubstep and electronica samples. The inspiration behind "Grow Up" is a derivative from Grace's personal life and an old relationship. Pulling from inner emotions Grace delivers with piercing vocals and hypnotizing harmonies. For upcoming announcements, tour dates and more, check out This Is She at: www.thisisshemusic.com and be sure to follow them on twitter at @ThisIsSheMusic
Going to the movies, talking to friends, doting on her Yorkie terrier: in many ways South Florida-based singer-songwriter Sonali Argade is a typical teenage girl. But this assumption vanishes as soon as the music begins. As revealed through sparkling songs, energetic performances and auspicious vocal authority, Sonali’s debut EP Speechless is the introduction to an emerging artist on the edge of ascension.
It all begins with the songs, and as the title track, “Speechless,” resonates with crystalline guitars propelling Sonali’s confident, upfront vocals, it introduces a performer, guitarist and songwriter whose mastery of pop song craft reaches far beyond any chronological age.
A multi-instrumentalist who plays keyboard, drums and bass, Sonali is a scorching lead guitarist who wields an impressive arsenal of instruments, including her ESP Flying V. “My guitar instructor at the time was showing me how to play girly, poppy songs while I was begging to learn Van Halen,” she remembers. “I bought the Flying V and it worked.” Although her favorite genres of music include the thunderous bombast of her favorite metal bands, her own music is defined by the accessibility and optimism that mirrors her sunny and upbeat personality.
