Radio Show: The Power of Water to Impact Your Health

    in Health

    In this show you’ll learn:

What the water is that is in the cells of your body
How juicing replaces the water in your cells
Why proper hydration is a central function of our health

    Background and Guest Information:

We are two-thirds water - by volume. In terms of the percentage of molecules, that two-thirds figure computes to a lot of water molecules: more than 99% of our molecules are water molecules.

That leads to the hypothesis that proper hydration is a central feature of function, and therefore of health.

Join Dr. Ritamarie and Dr. Gerald Pollack as they discuss his research on the power of water to help us understand secrets of nature and health. The energy that builds EZ water is light, so if you drink water that’s been exposed to light it has more energy.

Gerald Pollack, PhD, is a Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington and an international leader in the field of water research. Dr. Pollack runs the Pollack Laboratory at the University of Washington, which focuses on uncovering some of nature’s most deeply held secrets.

Check out Dr. Ritamarie’s VITAL Health Community for additional resources on the role that plants and herbs play on your hormones and digestive health, as well as strategies to include in your daily routines to achieve more vitality.

    The Secret Life of Water

    in Science

Water is all around us and we think we know all about it but we are wrong.  Water has many mysteries still surrounding it.  Further, recent science has determined that water exists in a 4th state inside the human body.  A state we had no idea existed with a previously unknown chemical composition.  In fact, there might be MANY unknown states and compositions.

To discuss ths we have Gerald Pollack.  Dr. Pollack received his PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. He then joined the University of Washington faculty and is now professor of Bioengineering. He is also Founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal, WATER, and convener of the Annual Conference on the Physics, Chemistry and Biology of Water.

His interests have ranged broadly, from biological motion and cell biology to the interaction of biological surfaces with aqueous solutions. His 1990 book, Muscles and Molecules: Uncovering the Principles of Biological Motion, won an “Excellence Award” from the Society for Technical Communication. His 2001 book, Cells, Gels and the Engines of Life, and his newest book, The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor won that Society’s “Distinguished Award,” their highest distinction. The latter book went on to receive the World Summit Excellence Award.

    TRU-Life Fridays: Wesley J. Smith

    in Lifestyle

Opposing Obamacare is racist?  Black women deserve a free cup of water in a gas station?  Thowing a "fiesta" is racist if you're not Latino?  Lately, issues of racism and poor race relations have dominated the news in a way that has not been seen in recent past decades.  This is surely a pro-life issue, as racial disharmony speaks of underlying views of human worth and valuation.  We will be discussing just how we got to the disharmony we see and the true pro-life position that marks real progress.

Wesley J. Smith, expert on biothethics and life ethics, will be on to discuss his latest short film, "The War on Humans".  Wesley is author of The Culture of Death and Forced Exit and writes regularly for National Review Online's Human Exceptionalism column.

    From his bio:
Attorney and award winning author Wesley J. Smith is a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism. He is also a consultant to the Patients Rights Council, and a special consultant for the Center for Bioethics and Culture. In May 2004, because of his work in bioethics, he was named by the National Journal as one of the nation’s top expert thinkers in bioengineering. In 2008, the Human Life Foundation named him a Great Defender of Life for his work against assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Xavier & Hyperbaric Oxygen: Recovery Now With Kim Justus

    in Health

Xavier Figueroa. President at the Brain Health and Healing Foundation, received his doctoral degree in 2003 from the University of Washington’s Program in Neurobiology & Behavior in the Department of Environmental Health and Toxicology.  His doctoral training was followed up by two post-doctoral fellowships within the Department of Bioengineering.  His experience within academic research exposed him to the undercurrents of research politics, that silently shape how science is done and how results are interpreted. This experience made him aware of the need to maintain an open mind and champion deserving and fruitful ideas, such as the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for the treatment of neurological injuries. For more information see: www.brainjury.org/blog

Recovery Now is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. I introduce topics, and guests share their experience, strength and hope. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery.

More will be revealed! This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we discover the new "me."

We focus on the four A's of Recovery...Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers.  :)

Some nights we will have a featured guest, others we will introduce a topic of recovery, encouraging callers to join us in the discussion. The second part of the show is Open Mic and some great Indy Music, sure to inspire.

Host is Kim Justus, author of In a Flash: Miracles Here and Beyond found at www.inaflash.org  and  “Like” me at facebook.com/inaflash.org

Mindful Shift - a conversation with Dr. Gerald Pollack

    in Spirituality

I am so thrilled to be joined by Dr. Gerald Pollack. He discovered a fourth state of water!  He is a professor at the University of Washington at the Bioengineering dept.  And no kidding, he discovered a fourth state of water, and put with what he is calling 'bulk water' or tap water, it separates and creates, clean, pure water.  Right here in the NorthWest.  This is absolutly one of the most amazing discoveries of our time.  It not only will create a source of clean water, it is unlocking the mysteries behind something that is essentially us.  We are more water than matter.  The science behind what water really is, is just beginning.  Dr. Pollack has been instrumental in bringing this revolutionary understanding to the public.  The discovering is only a few short years old!  Join in for the super cool interview.   I will get to tell my grandchildren I got to meet and interview him!  Dr. Pollack does not know it yet, but we get to talk about rainbows and bubbles!

GCS - Green House Incubator - PhytoSynthetix

    in Environment

Erico Mattos has just graduated as a Ph.D in Crop and Soil Sciences from the University of Georgia in August 2013. In 2012 Erico graduated from the Graduate Studies Program at Singularity University located at NASA Ames Research Center and is now working on several entrepreneurial projects related to new techniques in food production. Erico is an Agricultural Engineer by training and got his degree at University of Sao Paulo in 2008. As an advocate of urban agriculture systems, Mattos sees the intelligent use of exponential technologies as a solution to meet the increasing demand for healthy food based on sustainable, integrated production systems. Erico is also a co founder of PhytoSynthetix, a high-tech horticultural lighting company that combines plant physiology with bioengineering to built the first intelligent illumination system in the world. PhytoSynthetix developed a proprietary biological feedback system that allows the lights to communicate with the plants and maximize energy use efficiency thus increasing biomass production while reducing energy consumption. This solution reduces the cost of indoor cultivation allowing urban fresh food production to become feasible.
