Bursting with ways to downshift, simplify, preserve resources, and honor the planet, Lemons and Lavender will give you tools to reclaim a purer, tastier, healthier and less expensive way of life. Sharp shares her radical common sense and revolutionary "freeconomics" approach to budgeting in this step-by-step guide to the good life.
Creative ideas inside Lemons and Lavender:
    • Garden-to-table recipes for every meal
    • Eco-deco ideas for furnishing your home
    • Recipes for nontoxic cleaners, house paint and more
    • Start a seed sharing garden with your neighbors
    • Grow your own cup of delicious herbal tea
    • Learn to use organic sea salts, skin scrubs and detox bath therapies
Billee Sharp was born and raised in a little village in Dorset, England, where she spent a lot of time at the garden gate waving to passersby. She studied anthropology and ancient history at University College London. Billee went on to style herself a career as a contemporary art curator and gallerist. Working with Damien Hirst and others, she opened Building One, a huge gallery in an old biscuit factory, and mounted a series of group shows which contributed to the emergence of the YBAs. Quickly disenchanted with the art world, she turned her interest to the underground house music scene flourishing in London. Not long afterward, Billee moved to California. In 1993, she took up residence in San Francisco and started both a family and record label with Scotsman Jonah Sharp, a pioneering electronic musician. The birthplace of counterculture has been a wellspring of inspiration for her life and her creative writing.

Host Barbara Ehrentreu presents a very special show of Red River Radio Tales from the Pages on Thursday, March 26th at 4PM EST. It isn't ofen my listeners get to hear an experienced radio host and today my guest is J. Todd Underhill. J. Todd Underhill started his broadcasting career back in 1994 while he was still in college and continued pursuing both his radio career and his poetry until the present. He has been an announcer for both wrestling and race cars as well as an MC for several poetry cafes in the Denver area. His passion has always been poetry and he has published three books, Partners in Rhyme with Georgia based poet Amanda Norton,Tome I: Genesis  and Tome II : Genesis. His exuberant personality and his talent have created along with his co-broadcasters, Michael Amidei and JT Gunter, a place for any poet to read and have his or her poetry appreciated without judgement. I am a big fan of the show and I just started listening a few months ago. The camaraderie of the poets who convene on Friday nights to listen to and read poetry is unique. Through World Poetry Open Mic I have met some very talented and prolific poets. One of these poets who has inspired me and who also is an author with many years of both teaching experience and writing poetry is Cynthia Sharp. Cynthis lives in British Columbia, Canada and I am also very excited to bring her to my listeners. Cynthia's book How to Write Poetry:  http://www.amazon.com/How-Write-Poetry-Resource-Students-ebook/dp/B00PPYC8N8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425857850&sr=8-1&keywords=How+to+Write+Poetry+by+Cynthia+Sharp excellent for both novice and experienced poets. Rev.Russell Moore's Bible Study: A Sharp Dressed Christian( Amour Of God)

    in Religion

All christians have been seated with Christ in the heavenlies. Now we should dress the part by being clothed in the Righteousnwss of Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit has Baptized us in Christ death and resurrection, old things are past and we are now to walk in the newness of life in Christ.   Christ is to now live in us that we might know the greatness of his love towards us by faith.  Now we have got to get that look and put on his shiny new amour so we can stand up for him against the Devil.

Award-winning author Zoe Sharp on Second Sunday Crime with Libby Hellmann

    in Books

Second Sunday Crime host Libby Fischer Hellmann welcomes award-winning author Zoe Sharp, who was the headliner for the Love Is Murder conference that ended today in Chicago.  Zoe and Libby will be discussing crime fiction, murder-mysteries, publishing and all things books.  Zoe has this message for listeners:  "When I was younger, reading was my doorway to the world. It encouraged me to stretch the wings of my imagination and later, when I couldn’t find the kind of strong female protagonist I wanted to read about, I set about writing my own. Charlie Fox was the result. Reading exercises your mind, makes you take an active role in discovering the twists and turns of the story where TV and the movies allow you to passively sit back and wait to be spoon fed. I could ask you to read my book, but instead I’d ask you simply to read. Any book, every book. Reading will take you to different places, different lives, even different galaxies. Who was it who said. “The greatest journeys a man can make are inside his own head ?.”  http://zoesharp.com. THIS IS A LIVE INTERVIEW ON 2/8/15 WITH A BOOK GIVEAWAY FOR CALLERS. 347-884-8266.
