On May 18, 1927, the small town of Bath, Michigan, was forever changed when Andrew Kehoe set off a cache of explosives concealed in the basement of the local school. Thirty-eight children and six adults were dead, among them Kehoe, who had literally blown himself to bits by setting off a dynamite charge in his car. The next day, on Kehoe's farm, what was left of his wife---burned beyond recognition after Kehoe set his property and buildings ablaze---was found tied to a handcart, her skull crushed. With seemingly endless stories of school violence and suicide bombers filling today's headlines, Bath Massacre serves as a reminder that terrorism and large-scale murder are nothing new.
"A chilling and historic character study of the unfathomable suffering that desperation and fury, once unleashed inside a twisted mind, can wreak on a small town. Contemporary mass murderers Timothy McVeigh, Columbine's Dylan Klebold, and Virginia Tech's Seung-Hui Cho can each trace their horrific genealogy of terror to one man: Bath school bomber Andrew Kehoe. Milling About visits the Bath Street Inn in Santa Barbara, California. Host Robin Milling chats with co-owner Deborah about this lovely 1895 Victorian home which was gifted by Mr. Hales to his wife Abigail for their 50th wedding anniversary. In fact, Deborah tells Robin that The Abigail Room is the former master bedroom where guests have reported sightings of a white-haired woman sitting on the edge of their bed. This however was 15 years before their time with the inn so Deborah jokes that perhaps she's moved out!
The Bath Street Inn is a mixture of the old and the new with eight guest rooms. We stayed in The Rose Room, aptly named for the wallpaper which has a jacuzzi; perfect at the end of a long day walking downtown Santa Barbara. The newer Summer House with fireplaces and jacuzzis is adjacent to the wisteria covered courtyard where breakfast is also served. And breakfast is a healthier vegetarian alternative which Deborah says was put into place because the former owner wasn't exactly a morning person! Each morning homemade granola with seeds and nuts is served along with fresh fruit complimented by gourmet-style meatless dishes. You will never miss the meat or taste the difference as they are delicious as well as nutritious. During our stay we were served peach-topped croissant french toast, baked pear with ginger sauce, eggs florentine with raspberry muffins, and pain perdu with cherry berry stuffing...yum!

First Shungite is a mineral with the same basic CHEMICAL composition as coal. Shungite however is constructed with a very large molecule nicknamed Bucky Ball or a Fullerene. Shungite is used for: water purification and water infusion with healing energies, enhancement of growth in vegetation and livestock, EMF, microwave and nuclear shielding materials, healing of a variety of diseases, creation of healing rooms by Russian Military Medical Clinics, to balance the blueprint of the energy body that is the blueprint for the physical body to promote physical, emotional and mental health, charging bath water and swimming pools and a Shungite Pendant provides individual protection and balance against all types of EMF and microwave fields!

Healthy living starts with our mindset. The environment in which we work, eat, sleep and relax affect our health. When the work environment is stressful, the body excretes hormones like cortisol and adrenaline in response to being angry, shamed and disrespected. These hormones adversely affect our heart (angina), stomach (ulcers) and nervous system (depression).
To maintain good health, we need to learn how to cope with stressful situations. Meditation, exercise, self-rewarding systems, supportive friends and family are the infrastructure for a balanced and healthy life. Meditation is simply quiet time with yourself; in a "hot bath", fishing on a lake , on a Yoga mat in a quiet place, on your knees in prayer or jogging along a quite road. Anytime "worries" are dropped and a feeling of calm is dominant without alcohol, you are in meditation.
Once you have mastered your environment, you must examine your diet and nutritional status. Most fast food is nutrient poor and all "sweet" drinks contribute to undesirable body mass. Water should be the "go to drink" and fresh or frozen food should be your staple. Processed foods means that most of nature's best has been removed and artificial ingredients have been added. Avoid unnecessary eating such as snacking and make eating a more social activity. Eating alone may encourage over eating (to finish a serving) and may become a "habit" to cope with an unpleasant emotion.
Cleaning is a practice, it is a chore, it is an activity. Cleaning makes things better, healthier, more attractive. Cleaning is a metaphor for what our lives can become. It makes everything feel better when the space you enter is clean and orderly. Your body responds to being clean in a way that acts like a breath of fresh air. To take a shower or bath, or wash the face and brush the teeth is an act of love toward the body and it releases you to become fresh and new, refreshed and energetic.
Clearing energy from your field is the same thing. It is a practice, a chore and an activity but it is not as noticable to the outside world when you don't do it on a regular basis. When you don't clean your bathtub, over time, you'll notice it becoming dingy and you will not enjoy using the tub as much as when it is clean and smooth, cleared of all the accumulated things that wash away from our bodies when we bathe. The energy body can become dirty, too.
This week on Talk-N-Angels, Rita and Mike will be talking about cleaning - as a necessary part of living - and clearing - as a step toward creating space and ferreting out unwanted energies. Please join us for this conversation with your ideas about cleaning and clearing your home, your body, mind and your spirit.
