Kassandra Brown started Year of Joys as a way of exploring love, belonging and connection to vulnerability and courage. She has a new workshop beginning January 12 entitled Freedom and Power: The Gifts Within Our Myths and Stereotypes. Kassandra states "We’re diving into stereotypes, cultural images, expectations about who, what, and how we\’re supposed to be. For instance – women should be thing, young, pretty, and unobtrusive. Men should be strong, intelligent, muscular, tall, rich, and in control. Women should be able to do it all – career, kids, sex life, homemaker, volunteer and friendship – all while looking good and making it look easy."
This a workshop you really shouldn't miss! More information is at http://www.yearofjoys.com

Irish born Barry Fitzgerald has over 20 years experience within the world of the paranormal which has taken him to new levels of intrigue and mystery. Appearing on Ghost Hunters International and heading a team on the American SyFy network he explored and investigated many paranormal and supernatural phenomenon the world over. This progression lead to an authoring of books on subjects within the paranormal field from The Influence, the subject matter was on those that work in it, to mysterious happening’s and bizarre disappearances right under our feet in ‘The Mist of Gods’. He opened a gallery exhibition of his photography work in Lviv within the Ukraine in 2011 which displayed the beauty at night unseen by the naked eye and highlighted the nature of the supernatural world. Barry’s new line of research has taken him out of his comfort zone and into areas of Irish myth and legend to explore the world of the Sidhe/Fairy. His new book, soon to be released ‘Banshee’ released 07/13 is a collection of modern encounters with this legend which lifts the bizarre screaming fairy lady from the realms of myth and into reality. His latest eBook project ‘Searching the Sídhe‘ exams the history of the Sídhe and their kin from all over the world and lifts the veil of glamour used by such entities to reveal a very different picture, a picture which may unsettle our very senses. He is currently working on new TV projects which will be announced later this year. www.charmstealer.com
We've all dealt with loss, with grief, at some point in our lives. In today's episode I'll be talking about this less-than-pleasant topic. Of course, the loss of a loved one is very different than the break-up of a relationship, which is very different than the loss we feel when we've lost a job. The point of this show however is to talk about how we are all dealing with loss of some type at any given moment in time. Even if it is simply the "loss" of who we used to be.

Feminism may have promised equality and sought a better and fairer world for women, but the reality is that girls make up almost a quarter of the world’s population, yet still face the greatest discrimination of any group on the planet.
Our journey takes the audience through a pastiche of diverse cultures and societies around the globe including Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, Afghanistan, USA and Australia.
