The outspoken nutball that host"s SevsDeadSerious finally realizes what the Republican platform is; they hate Barrack Obama. Nothing to do with policy or views or anything remotely substantive, just the fact that the president is Barrack Obama and he's black therefore anything he says we're against it even if yesterday we were for it, once Obama was for it by right and duty we're against it. For God's sake they sound like Groucho Marx in "Duck Soup" (a brilliant 1930's Marx Bros movie...really) when he sang "whatever it is, I'm against it" done with a greasepaint mustache, round glasses and a lacivious leer at the audience...how appropriate. Not only is Obama a liberal progressive...but he's black. Bad enough he is trying to bring the country back from financial near-collapse (owing to 2 unfunded MidEast wars in part...a very large part) and doing it, at times, to the best interests of the American people while being black. And the Republicans will have none of that.

The Dallas County Commissioners Court is planning to call a special meeting for Thursday to discuss whether to request that Gov. Rick Perry declare a local emergency because of the Ebola crisis. The meeting will be at 2 p.m. at the County Administration Building, 411 Elm Street in Dallas.According to state law, a declaration of emergency “activates the appropriate recovery and rehabilitation aspects of all applicable local or interjurisdictional emergency management plans and authorizes the furnishing of aid and assistance under the declaration.”
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said they probably will include restrictions on using public transportation and visiting areas where they’d be at risk of transmitting Ebola.President Barack Obama vowed a more aggressive federal role.He offered assurance that a “serious outbreak” remains extremely unlikely — a somewhat weaker promise than one last week, when he said the threat of any outbreak remained “extremely low.”“I want people to understand that the dangers of you contracting Ebola, the dangers of a serious outbreak, are extraordinarily low,” Obama said. “But we are taking this very seriously at the highest levels of government.”Dallas Morning News

en. Mary Landrieu, Rep. Bill Cassidy and tea party-backed candidate Rob Maness stuck to their talking points and remained fairly calm in their first joint debate of the Louisiana Senate race at Centenary College in Shreveport Tuesday night (Oct. 14).
Cassidy and Maness, the two Republicans in the race, spent much of the debate linking Landrieu, the Democratic incumbent, to President Barack Obama. In his answer to almost every question, Cassidy mentioned Obama, who recent polls show in particularly unpopular in Louisiana.
