Where's your back bone? Are you spineless when it comes to doing, getting and creating what you want in life? Donna M. asks, if you just lie there, what's the point?
On our panel to share their 'getting some backbone' stories are:
Alicia Hunter - www.aliciahunter.com. Alicia is a beauty and weight coach and celebrity Lash extensionist. She is the author of Accidental Diet Book. She will share with us how she was once a doormat.
Also jumping in the virutal red 'vette for a spin is Monika Wahi, a public health reporter for examiner.com and is on to share her story of being pushed around in jobs until one day...she straightened her back and found she didn't need to be spineless any longer.
According to the National Military Family Association, "children of the National Guard and Reserve members face unique challenges since there are no military installations for them to utilize." Our Military Kids, Inc. pays special attention to those children, advocating to ensure stability and success in their lives. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is focused on children of deployed National Guard and Reserve service members, as well as children of Wounded and Fallen Warriors from all branches of service.
Linda Davidson and Gail Kruzel founded Our Military Kids in 2004 out of concern for school-age children of Reserve and National Guard members and the lack of family support services. With the sacrifice of being apart for months at a time, they observed families so financially stretched that they couldn't afford fees for sports, fine arts, and tutoring.
Filled with compassion, Linda and Gail laid the groundwork to obtain grants to pay the associated fees to help relieve separation stress and improve emotional stability, while building self-esteem and enabling academic achievement. Grants from Our Military Kids are made possible by generous contributions from corporations, charitable foundations, and individuals. The hard work and commitment of volunteers is the backbone of the non-profit, translating into more grant money available to children of deployed National Guardsmen and Reservists, as well as Wounded Warriors. With a Charity Navigator score of 100 for accountability and transparency, mass media interest is no surprise.
The exemplary work of Our Military Kids has been featured in Huffington Post Impact, Stars and Stripes, New York Post, Parade Magazine, Washington Post, Fox and Friends, ABC News, and countless others. Join us to peruse their 10-year history of going above and beyond for Our Military Kids.
Obama is unbelievably trying to act like he’s running to the rescue in a situation HE CREATED! Of course, the media is compliant. Even John McCain has grown a backbone on this and Obama has a massive coalition of 9 countries and we’re supposed to fall over with awe. Bush had 40 and this doofus criticized him. The fact is this is Obama’s screw up and the morons that voted for him (you know who you were) are even getting it. The media is full of Ray Rice’s knockout punch but we can’t see ISIS beheading people and NOW is silent about rapes and killings of women in Iraq.

There's a movement growing across America. The movement is on track to change a lot of things that are required for the best America ever. One of the ways this movement will end in the best America ever, is that all Americans will be included. The movement began in Ferguson Missouri. This will be a first. America has come a long ways but justice for all Americans has never been part of the fabric of America as will be required this time. When we speak of justice likely the mind goes toward the courts. Well justice in the courts is at the top of the list. But justice begins with truth and righteousness. When we think in this manner about justice the average working person, who is the backbone of America will realize immediately, justice has not prevailed and the result has not been things that are good. every includes all Americans. There are four area where we are going to see justice prevail across America as a direct result of the young people of Ferguson standing up for justice. The stand taken by the up and rising society of Ferguson will not be welcomed by all, but in decades to come, all America will benefit. The same thing happened in the 1960's when there were demonstrations for freedom of blacks to get jobs, eliminate police brutality, right to vote without losing jobs and life. Ferguson is actually fighting a fight that has aleady been fought. The difference is no water hose, but guns, and not all blacks see themselves as being in the shoes of Ferguson. Some people are blaming Ferguson for where they are today. The fact is America is in America today, more than ever before corporations are ruling our ever move. From conception to education, to punishments to economics, to inheritance. ALEC is the organization that controls America and ALEC is the organization that has to be put out of business. The only way to cease the practices of ALEC in America is to vote out the GOP.
