Host Cyrus Webb welcomes actress Kaleina Cordova (t.v. show The Glades and the movie Step Up Revolution) to Conversations LIVE to discuss her love of acting and what it's been like to follow her passion and pursue her dreams.
What happens when a man has almost everything he wants, and then decides he needs the total package? Or when a man receives the love he needs, but decides the giver isn’t enough? How do you let go of something you know, for what seems to be greener pastures?
Find out these answers and more as The Lesson takes you inside the lives of three people as the quest to have it all may turn out to be more destructive then one anticipates.
Follow this tale of love lost and found, as one man’s story may become another man’s lesson!

From Dutchress - Elana Dolvan, a high profiled attorney, fought her way out of the cold street life in Chicago and achieved one of the most impressive careers in her family’s history. As she works her way up the ladder of success, her double identity crosses over into her very modest, and high profile life. It leaves nothing but murder and mayhem in its path.
Elana, known as one of the most ruthless female bosses in the United States, can't believe she's being tested. Her name, Dutchtress, speaks loudly in the streets.
She finds it hard to let one soul breathe another ounce of air after they have taken her most precious possession. With her most trusted solider by her side they perform a bloody symphony across the city.

Most of us have had our epiphanies, our "aha's" and revelations. But how many of us follow through? Deb Landiwehr Engle did, and is delighted to share the process with us. Come be inspired as you listen in on a very private, very special preview of her newest book.
How many "significant moments" catch us for an instant and then melt away? Debra Landwehr Engle received an answer to a plea to a higher power for help. The response was soon reinforced by a significant moment leaving her compelled to follow the experience wherever it would take her and write about it. That decision, plus the discipline and passion of a well seasoned author, resulted in a very special book. Ms. Engle eloquently takes on her journey as she anticipates the book launch. Come be among the first to learn about it!
My guest on the Author Chat show is author Dwight Slaughter. Dwight will be chatting with me about his new book, Inner City Strength-The Last Unknown Name Slaughter
About the book:
If you fall down get up and finish. Dwight Slaughter graduated from Verbum Dei High School, a school with one of the top 10 winning basketball teams of all time. While at Verbum Dei High School Dwight was voted number one player in the Country in 1972 by different sports magazines. He then went on to further his education and play basketball at Cal State Los Angeles from 1972 to 1976-a period that would set a precedent with new laws changing how colleges accept athletes. During his athletic career, Slaughter was interviewed by such greats as Howard Cosell, on his show SportsBeat and in his book, I Never Played the Game; Morley Safer from 60 Minutes; and John Chancellor from World Nightly News. He was voted by ESPN and Sports Illustrated as one of the top 100 basketball players in the State of California. As a child, Slaughter relied on basketball to build his self-esteem and relieve the stress of mental and physical abuse. His gripping memoir follows his public career and takes the reader inside his personal life as well-into a childhood of abuse, betrayal...even murder.
