Allan has had a varied career over his life span of almost seventy years. He began in the world of art as a young man, but found the camera and didn't look back. His photographic career has spanned over fifty years with many high points being eleven books with seven international bestsellers on subjects that range from Pope John Paul II, Formula One legend Gilles Villeneuve, Canadian firefighters and even a book on Bar- B-Q cooking. He has been the official photographer at the Olympics and personal photographer to Gilles Villeneuve. He has had over 100 one-man shows from Canada to the US and Europe.
