The Sound of Success Part 3 - How to tune your tone.

    in Motivation

"Eloquence resides as much in the tone of voice, in the eyes, and in the expression of the face, as in the choice of words." ~ Francois La Rouchefoucauld

Tone of voice is not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. This encompasses not only the words you choose, but their order, rhythm and pace. Words are often very imprecise vehicles of communication, requiring us to be as highly reliant on how a person sounds and expresses themselves when communicating. Indeed, your voice and accompanying expressions are a very powerful tool for communicating when used properly and a friendly tone of voice can make your seem more approachable. Maya Angelou once said, "People don’t always remember what you say or even what you do, but they always remember how you made them feel.” Tone is influenced by emotion and is reflected through volume, pitch and rate.

The Confederacy of The End Times

    in Politics Conservative

No, this Ohio gentleman is not talking about the South rising again.  I came across several stories today that deal with financial signs and maybe even some plotting or preparing behind the scenes for something that is coming down the pike I still think as early as next year when it comes to a financial collapse. We also have a story of Al Qaeda in Syria apparently using UN vehicles to do their dirty deeds and the UN condemning America or the CIA yet again.  Plus, Christianity, biblical Christianity, true Christianity, continues to be watered down and attacked of course again and again.  We've got the government and even the Republicans that seem to be okay with amnesty and the ruinous effects that would have for many in this nation.  Through it all even as things are on the verge seemingly of collapse, it's all orchestrated so that man can try to bring it all together, and so ultimately Jesus Christ can break it to pieces.  There are almost literally a ton of things to talk about today, so I'll do the best I can with the time I have, starting at 4:30 Eastern time and archived after that.

Minimum Training Requirements for Entry-Level Drivers

    in Current Events

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has announced its intent to establish a negotiated rulemaking (RegNeg) committee to negotiate and develop proposed regulations to implement Section 32304 of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21). This section is concerning establishing minimum industry training requirement standards for entry-level drivers of commercial motor vehicles, an issue that has been ongoing for decades.

A Proposed Rule document has been issued by the FMCSA with the intent to establish the Entry-Level Driver Training Advisory Committee (ELDTAC) and is currently asking for solicitation of applications and nominations for committee membership. The final date to comment is set for January 9, 2015.

Our guest this evening is Richard Wilson, President and CEO of TCRG Consulting and Regulation. Mr. Wilson also serves on the Advisory Council as the Regulation and Compliance Representative for NATA: North American Trucking Alerts.

NATA will be nominating Mr. Wilson to the FMCSA committee based on his broad and extensive background within the industry, his active involvement in D.C., and his proven track record with concerns for safety and truck drivers' rights.

Discussion will focus on the critical need for CDL training standards as well as the goals of NATA as it continues its positive movement in gathering professional truck drivers and trucking industry leaders together to resolve the many issues that everyone within the industry is facing.
