Maria Micheletto had a rude awakening in October 2006. Many of us think we had no warning, but in retrospect it appear some signs were already simmering. On the 23rd though, there was no doubt there was a very serious situation at hand, when Maria was struck in the head with a pain like no other - It literally brought her to her knees. Scary to me, is that she was initially misdiagnosed as I had been in 1995! There is an untold hell, when you are in blinding pain relying the experts, and you know they are failing you. Not all hospitals are created equal. Join us for Maria's journey, from the brink of death to a new career in the Neuro ICU.

The Feet of Mountain Climbers Keith and Lesha Gardner Ministries
My wife Lesha and I started this ministry to encourage and motivate people who are going through struggles, tests, and storms. While Lesha and I were going through the most challenging times of our lives, we saw the most favor of God. We have seen God like we have never seen him before. No matter what you are going through, don't give up. Sometimes things seem to happen to you, but they really happen for you .This means all things are working together for your good according to Romans 8:28. This is to help you grow stronger in your faith and trust in God and strengthen your relationship with him. Many people can't believe our marriage survived all the gut-wrenching tragedies that have occurred in our lives since 2003. They are amazed at our rock solid marriage, strong commitment to each other, our undying and unconditional love, our unwavering faith in God, our strength, and positive attitude. Well, those people don't realize the awesome power of God. Through all of these unimaginable events, we have witnessed countless miracles that have left people speechless and left us stronger. Because of these struggles and storms, our faith in God is unshakeable. The storms started July 11, 2007 when two aneurysms burst in Lesha's brain and she had a massive stroke. She was only 35-years-old. When I arrived at the hospital, I was greeted by the chaplain. He and the doctors were preparing me for my wife's death. God had other plans.

In 2004, Kimberly Chapman suffered two ruptured brain aneurysms and was astounded by the lack of public awareness and sparse research of such a widespread and often fatal condition. Recognizing the need for brain aneurysm advocacy and other types of vascular malformations of the brain, she personally established several international support networks to provide information, resources and motivation for survivors and family members. Kim has created a patient advocacy program inside The Joe Niekro Foundation which offers patients and caregivers educational information along with a huge amount of resources to find help. This mission with the Joe Niekro Patient Advocacy Program is to help survivors realize that recovery is possible and will help patients learn what to expect during the healing process and new coping strategies.
The program is designed to motivate members to follow a wellness plan and to make a difference in the community, while creating a forum of mutual acceptance, understanding and self-discovery

Did you know there are thousands of people with disabilities working all over the United States and in other Countries fighting to help ensure a better future for people disabilities? Well, there are! The Empowerment Zone Was created to help people with disabilities find the resources, services, and learn the skills that it takes, after having a disability to help empower yourself to reach your goals and live your dreams no matter what!
I Am a Certified Peer Support Specialist And a survivor of multiple brain injuries, aneurysms an AVM, a coma, and survivor and multiple rare surgeries. I don't think lightly of the fact that there are many people with disabilities living in deep poverty and neglec with out work. I say our time is now 2014!!!
I Work for a Center for Independent Living Called Walton Options for Independent Living which a place where we use the four core services of our center which are 1, Information and referral, 2, Advocacy 3, Independent Living Skills 4, Peer Support.
In these four core services lies the meat and potatoes of the independent living movement, which is people with disabilities powered, community inclusion based, and a federal mandate in all 50 states and US teritories based on the civil rights for people with disabilities act, known as the ADA the Americans with Disabilities Act.
We are fighting for our rights and standing strong and firm in the belife that all people are created equally and reclaim ourselves as people of pupose as we strive to help others to get out of nursing homes, to work in the community, to get out of sheltered workshops, to bring down the Iron Curtain of dismay in disability, and start holding accountable the agencies that are supposed to support us and start taking control of our destiny. Now as survivors as people who struggled and fought for victory and face the challenge!
