    Trenace Rose - Akashic Alphabet

    in Self Help

Trenace Rose was introduced to Transcendental Meditation at age 16 which was the beginning of a passionate exploration into various cultural beliefs. She has been active in the Science of Yoga as a spiritual practice for the last 24 years and it was while reading one of Paramahansa Yogananda’s extraordinary passages in his book, The Second Coming of Christ, The Resurrection of the Christ Consciousness, that a seed for this book was planted, blossoming into form through 6 years of research, solitude and ongoing meditation.

The author’s background includes a university curriculum of English, Modern Drama and Shakespeare courses completed in England and a B.A. Degree from USC.

At age 20, she was granted membership to the Screen Actors Guild in Hollywood. During a diverse, freelance writing career, she has been honored with various awards for Lyrics in Songwriting at the Nashville Song Festival and Creative Writing at the Santa Barbara Writers Convention.

In addition to serving as Project Facilitator for the Mindfulness Program at Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine in La Jolla, her fields of study continued, including the Tao and practice of Qigong, Buddhism, Shamanism, Naturopathy, Holistic Medicine, Nutritional Healing, Animal and Marine Mammal Communication, environmental awareness, astral travel, energetic healing modalities and the Hemi-Sync Method.

Then came the sacred gift of a satori, an out-of-body experience with supportive therapists present that changed her life in a profound way.

A chat with romance author Natalie Alder

    in Books

This week, on Gumbo Ya Ya,  join host Debbie Workman as she interviews upcoming romance author, Natalie Alder. Ms Adler is the author of Constructing Love (found in the Windswept Valentine Anthology) and Trouble Looming (part of the Tapestry Series) , named March book of the month by Platypire Reviews. Come over, relax and enjoy listening to Debbie talk to Natalie about her fabulous books!

    Natalie's Bio
I write stories about romance. They center on learning about the characters backgrounds, personalities and life circumstances that mold them into who they are and how they love.

I am a sassy 40-something year old. I live in a quiet farming town in New England with my husband of fifteen years and our three rescued cats. After college I facilitated improvement in the physical abilities of children and the elderly then took the opportunity to enjoy my creative side. I love to sew, knit, write...sing and drink martinis (not necessarily at the same time).

Chatting with Beau Coup author Palessa

    in Books

Join Debbie Workman, this week,as she welcomes co-host Lisa Kait!
The ladies will be chatting with Beau Coup Publishing's multi-genre author Palessa.

Palessa started reading her first romance novel, at the age of 11. Then she got introduced to V.C. Andrews, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Anne Rice and many more notable contemporary authors as well as some of the classics, A Tale of Two Cities, Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Great Gatsby and others.

It was during her teenage years that she dabbled in writing. First, it was in her diaries, then she started creating characters, stories about romance, the supernatural and much more. Being an International Baccalaureate student as well as entering college, left little time for writing and so she put it and the ideas aside to pursue a career. It would take almost 20 years, a radical move from the city she grew up in, Miami, FL back to her Caribbean birthplace, and a chance Facebook meeting with Sable Hunter to start the juices flowing again.

After some fits and starts, the Baxter Family Saga was born. Unchained Hearts is Palessa's first published fiction book with Beau Coup Publishing. She considers herself just a storyteller that sees no reason to shy away from the juicier romantic elements. She currently lives in the mountains of Jamaica with her crazy, cracker-munching-mutt Ivy and a farm, primarily managed by agribusiness partner, also known as Dad.
