    Join us on Wednesday 3/13/13 as GM Darrell Sarejeant and Sifu Restita DeJesus welcome Master Alessandro Ashanti to the show!
    Master Alessandro Ashanti has been training in the martial arts for over 34 years. He currently holds a 5th degree black belt in Jujitsu, a 7th degree black belt in The World Sansei Koryu Goju-Ryu Karatedo Organization under Hanshi Manny Saavedra, a 3rd degree black belt in Zujitsu under Soke Chaka Zulu, and holds the rank of Pangalawang Guro in Serrada Eskrima under Maser Khalid Khan.   He is also a certified Level 2 Reiki Practitioner under Master Jeff Donovan.  Currently he is in training studying Urban Street Survival with Sifu Terry Baruti and Saturno Modern Serrada with Master Ron Saturno.  He has also studied various other styles of martial arts, most notably Capoeira Angola with Mestre Terry Baruti.  Over the last 24 years he has run his own classes and is currently the head instructor and founder of Full Circle Ashanti Method Martial Arts and Full Circle Jujitsu.

            Johnnie Walker began her career as a country music radio personality. She later segued to Black radio holding numerous positions, and in 1989 she joined Def Jam Recordings as a regional marketing rep. Within one year Walker was promoted to National Director of Promotion. The Sr. National Director position soon followed and positioned Walker to be instrumental in launching the careers of Redman, Method Man, Onyx, Montell Jordan, Ashanti, Sisqo and Foxy Brown!


          Making the move to New York City in 1997, Walker was named Vice President of Promotion for Def Jam. A year later, after restructuring the company’s promotions department and its field staff, Walker was named Sr. Vice President. During her tenure, her team successfully marketed Def Comedy Jam, Phat Farm clothing, Russell Simmons' co-produced movies, "The Nutty Professor,” Jackie Chan’s “Rush Hour 1 and 2” plus several #1 Gold and Platinum albums from Jay-Z, Sisqo, Kelly Price, Ashanti, Ja Rule, DMX, LL Cool J, Musiq, Dru Hill and others.


               After 15 years of tenure at Def Jam Recordings, Walker resigned and moved to Los Angeles where she was named Head of Black Music for DreamWorks Records. Known affectionately as Ms Johnnie Walker ... in 2009 Walker assumed her current position with the City of Memphis.

    Birthed on September 27 to Jamaican immigrant parents, the Miami-born


    and bred starlet’s foray into music is inevitable, as she exhibits sheer unbridled


    talent framed with gorgeous looks, destined to make her a force to be reckoned


    with in pop music.


    Sade Serena fatefully entered the rhythmic realm at the tender age of 12, recording


    a demo with a family friend named Rhovan, after receiving much encouragement


    to sing for years. "Lo Tienes (You Got What I Want)” was the name of the faithful


    track, and although the song was never officially released as a single, it granted


    Sade Serena invaluable recording experience, along with her first taste of lyrical


    liberation. “We performed that song for summertime jams and open-call talent


    shows, and received a lot of love from audiences,” reveals Sade Serena. “We were


    like the mini Ja Rule and Ashanti.”


    By age 17, Sade Serena was earning her stripes as a background singer, performing


    in renowned Miami music venues like the House of Blues and the American


    Airlines Arena. “As my hunger grew for my own spotlight, I started singing lead


    vocals for local bands at lounges such as Mangos in South Beach, and even in


    hotel lobbies like The Ritz Carlton.”
