A Culture of Marriage: Does It Still Exist For African American Males?

    in Religion

Two African American Authors, Dr. Jamal Rasheed and Dr. Obari Cartman, discuss the evolving attitudes toward marriage and family among Black men. Are men even being socialized to consider marriage a natural part of adulthood? Or are the high divorce rates and out of wedlock births making it more common to simply be a "baby daddy" rather than a husband? In our first hour, Dr. Jamal Shahid discusses his books Broader Perspectives in Educating All of Us, Positive Solutions To Improve Our Lives, and It's Mandatory to Identify and Kick Slave Habits. Dr. Cartman joins us in our second hour to discuss his book, Lady's Man: Conversations For Young Black Men About Relationships and Manhood.

A Culture of Marriage: Does It Still Exist For African American Males?

    in Women

Why are there so many single men who don't want to get married? Dr. Jamal Shahid, author of Broader Perspectives in Effectively Educating All Of Us, and Dr. Obari Cartman, author Lady's Man: Conversations For Young Men About Relationships and Manhood, discuss the evolving attitudes of Black males regarding marriage and family. Are men even being socialized to prepare themselves for marriage when they reach adulthood? Or has divorce and out of wedlock births made it more common to remain a "player" for the rest of ones life and just a "baby daddy" to the children? How do we reverse this dysfunctional trend?

The End of The African American?

    in Politics

THE END OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN?

For most of our existence in America, the nation has needed us—for free labor, for cheap labor, for scapegoating and for the raping of our culture.

But America has co-opted Black Culture to the point where it is currently packaging what it deems to be Black Culture and selling it back to us. It has other cultures to use for cheap labor and, of course, we are still scapegoats.

There is no reason for us to exist.

We have been so diminished that we don't want to live around us and many of us think the worst of us.

With no real need for us to exist, it is quite possible that the African American will diminish into irrelevance.

Listen to The Bridge Radio tomorrow at 4pm Pacific as we discuss the future of African Americans. Join Award-Winning Author Darryl James and co-hosts Tracy Powell, Dr. John Hamilton, Marcus D. LeGall III and DJ Gates on one of the most intellectually stimulating shows on radio.

American White History Month - South African Series

    in Politics Conservative

Join American White History Month this Thursday 5th March, 2015 with host Karin Smith and two great guests.

Cuan Elgin "A True Story of South Africa - BULALA".

Deeply researched, the Scottish-Irish-descended South African-born author travelled over 15,500 miles [25,000 km.] across South Africa to every historical site mentioned in the narrative, in his first-hand investigative research. You will learn, laugh, and cry—but more importantly, understand the actual events which transpired in this controversial, southern-most African nation, without the bias of the media or the pressured slant of special-interest groups.

Joining us will be Don Deon  -

I started the Southern African Commonwealth (Bondstaat) initiative which aims to reconnect all Southern Africa’s diverse people with their heritage and culture and traditions.  The first step in this for the Afrikaner people was to setup the SAUK Nuus news website and facebook page. This is vital to give the people their identity back and also crucial in the fight against all the forms of genocide.

I am fighting for TRUE diversity, TRUE multiculturism and True Independence in South Africa for the minorities, and worldwide...

This will be a very informative and entertaining show - so dial in, call in - we look forward to hearing from you
