    Interview with John Berry

    in Country Music

John Berry has a new outlook, a new address and a new beginning. The singer-songwriter rose to stardom on the country charts of the 1990s with such mega hits as “Your Love Amazes Me,” “Standing on the Edge of Goodbye” and “She’s Taken a Shine.” His annual Christmas tours brighten the holidays for thousands, as does his electrifying rendition of “O Holy Night.”

During his star-making decade, John placed 20 singles on the county hit parade. He earned Gold and Platinum records. He was nominated for a Grammy Award, CMA Awards and ACM Awards. And thanks to the miracles of modern technology, he even sang a duet with the late, great Patsy Cline.

But when the hit records faded, John quietly left Nashville and headed back to his native Georgia. "The fall is hard. For a time it left me angry and disillusioned. I was fortunate because singing was all I had ever done and all I knew to do.  I buckled under and made it work. It was then that I became the President and Janitor of JB Music. I am proud to say I have survived and grown because of it. Now I wish I could go back and talk to my younger self. I enjoy myself and making music. I love what I do. I’m realistic about who I am. I’m hopeful and excited about the future. I refuse to go away, because I LOVE singing and always will. I have a bus and sound and lights, and I’m always all dressed up and ready to go.”

Tune in to hear John telling stories from his music career - as well as sharing past hits and brand new music! Visit John online at www.johnberry.com

The Big Perm Show #93 - Mark Silverman & The Bogart Jones Band

    in Entertainment

This Sunday, at 8:30 p.m. CST, we talk about the Boston Mafia with former wiseguy turned author, Mark Silverman !! Also joining the show at 9:15 p.m. CST will be The Bogart Jones Band !! Talking Sh*t & Hurting Feelings !! We do it again this Sunday night at 8 p.m. CST / 9 p.m. EST!!

Mark Silverman, is a Former Winter Hill Gangster and Boston Mafia member that was rising through the ranks of the Irish Winter Hill Gang while being recruited by both warring factions of the Patriarca family. His account is the first-ever inside glimpse into what went on at the street level, why people were killed, and what the stakes were.

Silverman grew up in the shadow of Raymond Patriarca and James (Whitey) Bulger, bosses of Boston’s most infamous crime families. With a Jewish last name, his opportunities should have been limited in Boston’s Irish/Italian underworld, but he moved up quickly, gaining acceptance across the board. His book ROGUE MOBSTER is a firsthand account of the violent Boston mob wars of the 1990s, when bodies were piling up across New England and Mark Silverman was walking a tightrope between Winter Hill and the Mafia.

The Bogart Jones Band creates handcrafted, no boundaries, stories and music. A family of brothers from different mothers with diverse musical backgrounds, making "New Music with an Old Soul". The Band will be starting the year opening up for Legendary Southern Rockers, 38 Special, in February! Wes Simmons, Ryan Rose & Tim Fiers had been working with legendary REO Speedwagon guitarist, Gary Richrath until his unfortunate and untimely passing in 2015. The musical love and spark continues on through The Bogart Jones Band! The group is now completed with the talent & musical influences of Don Mabus on Guitar and vocals, Ty Bailey on Percussion and Curt Caudill on keys.

The Energy of Happiness, Creativity, and Joy with Psychic Medium Erica Glessing

    in Paranormal

A world class psychic medium, Erica Glessing is a gifted author, medium, and book publisher.

“Express yourself. Express your creativity! Express your joy.”

Erica is a third generation publisher/published author. Her first book was published in 2007 “Prospect When You Are Happy,” and her second book, “Happiness Quotations,” was published in 2011. “Happiness Quotations: Gentle Reminders of Your Preciousness” is a lovely series of passages designed to uplift, inspire and encourage you to live an inspired day, every day. That book was endorsed by Jack Canfield and Marci Shimoff.

Erica became a news reporter straight out of University of California Davis. In the 1990s, Erica moved home to the San Francisco Bay Area. She became the director of public relations for KTEH Public Television, then worked for six or seven years for the family foundation of Andy and Eva Grove (Intel co-founder and his wife). Erica was the first employee for this foundation, and built it, with the family, from $1.3 million to $7 million in annual giving. What a great job that was! Erica thrived in this position, but still felt the need to grow.

“I believe that we all have a purpose, and we step into our divine purpose every time we experience beauty, love, and awareness of all that is and our oneness with creation. I get that when life is really challenging, we are forgetting our power. We may have left it behind or experienced too much pain and shut down. Healing is always available. Turn to others for healing and guidance, we are not alone!”

Jan. 26, 2016, 10pm (PST) - Crisis Actors and Conspiracies with James Fetzer

    in Paranormal

James Fetzer is a philosopher of science and conspiracy theorist. Since the late 1970s, Fetzer has worked on assessing and clarifying the forms and foundations of scientific explanation, probability in science, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of cognitive science, especially artificial intelligence and computer science.

In the early 1990s Fetzer began promoting John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories, then later 9/11 conspiracy theories. He cofounded Scholars for 9/11 Truth in 2005, and claims that the United States government and the Israeli government are involved in these and other conspiracies. Fetzer's allegations and speculations have drawn strong criticism.

James is a former Marine. He's a graduate of Princeton (1962) Magna Cum Laude. He's also a large voice in investigating the usage of crisis actors in emergency situations. Crisis actors are supposedly professional actors used by government agencies and/or the mainstream media to deceive the public with portrayals of trauma and suffering. Specifically, they act as victims or witnesses in staged school shootings or hoax terrorist attacks. Needless to say, this sort of thing only actually goes on in the minds of denialists and conspiracy theorists.

Lakers Nation Podcast Episode 12: Dave Schilling

    in Basketball

LakersNation.com's Jabari Davis caught up with former Grantland.com contributor and current writer for outlets such as The Guardian and Vice Sports (among others) Dave Schilling for this edition of the podcast. The two of them discussed the current state of the Los Angeles Lakers, how watching Michael Jordan compete with Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp made Schilling fall in love with the NBA during the 1990s, Schilling's thoughts on the young core and several other topics related to the current team.

Schilling voluntarily acknowledged his desire for the team to move in a different direction with the coaching staff after the season and even offered a 'familiar' solution as a potential head coach. The two of them also addressed the upcoming free agency period and which strategy the front office should take as well as Schilling's belief that LSU's Ben Simmons is the prospect the Lakers should most covet in the upcoming NBA Draft
