Monday, February 19, 2018 – Sweet Tea With A Chaser - 5th Year On the Air – at 9:00 p.m.  Join Us From The Comfort of Your Home – Call in 646-478-3527

9:15 p.m. An Evening with Author Reuben Keith Green is a former U. S. Navy surface warfare officer.  Beginning in 1975, he served for twenty-two years in the Atlantic Fleet before retiring in 1997.  As a former enlisted man, commonly referred to as a "mustang" officer, he was a mine man, a yeoman, an equal opportunity program specialist and a leadership instructor before graduating from officer candidate school and receiving his naval commission in 1984.    As a young enlisted sailor, he served as the Legal Yeoman (Clerk) for the Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and saw first-hand the actual and statistical disparities in the treatment of white versus minority sailors in the military justice system, a problem which continues to this day.  Black Officer, White Navy is his debut literary effort, a memoir of his military service.  He has resided in Jacksonville, Florida for thirty-eight years, and now considers it his home.  He was born in Tennessee, and spent his early years in San Diego, California.

9:45 p.m. A conversation about Dr. Gwendolyn Goldsby Grant – Her accomplishments and what they meant to the Black Community.

10:15 p.m.  Black Women and White Men – Now that the tables are turning, why is society giving the side eye to Black Women who have decided to cross the divide.

Let’s talk about it. 646-478-3527
