So I have asked an expert in this area, Dr. LaShanna Newton, to be our guest, to help us understand and give us some advice on navigating through these situations.

Dr. Newton is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). She has been in the mental health field for over 15 years and a has worked in a variety of settings to include military contracts screening and resourcing, mental health hospitals conducting assessments, private practices providing counseling and treatment centers conducting sexual abuse evaluations.
