Man Rise Up Radio is delighted to welcome Poka Jones.  After dropping out of Therell High School in the 11th grade he turned to the streets for education. Gambling and drug dealing landed Poka in the hands of the Georgia Correctional Facility. While incarcerated Poka gained a passion for music. Upon his release from prison Poka started doing local talent showcases which gained the attention of Atlanta’s 6-10pm radio jock Co Co Brother. Poka was immediately signed to Co Co Brother's Radio Show as the shows hypeman and intern. While working on the Co Co Brother Show Poka continued working as an artist with his longtime friend and Def Jam Recording artist Rocko. Poka hosted and featured on 5 songs on Rocko’s first mixtape entitled N.W.A (no wack artist) which was also named by Poka Jones. While promoting his music in Oklahoma at Perry Broadcasting’s K-98 Jams Poka Jones overwhelmed the radio staff with his personality and was offered a position on the air. Poka took the offer and quickly went from being a fill in for others to his own 6-10pm show.
