THIS WEEK THE NDUSTRY RADIO SHOW INTRODUCES: Award-winning Writer, performer and singer, and recording artist,  Marc Dickerson! Having his start in the church and in his schools’ choirs, from grade school to high school, Marc satisfied his burning passion to be in the industry after college where he pursued a career in music, where he and two friends landed a major record deal with Geffen Record (formerly known as MCA Records). During this time he took great interest in songwriting, which eventually led to several major songwriting opportunities and placements. In 2003 he was the recipient of the ASCAP/Heineken R&B Songwriter Initiative. He went on to write for hit groups such as “Arrested Development”, Michael Jackson’s boy group “Visions”, Usher’s group “One Chance”, gospel artists Darwin Hobbs, Troy Sneed, and many more. In 2008 he received the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul award for gospel songwriter of the year!
