Why are we here?

What is the reason for the  human existence?  Why are we here on earth?  According to the Holy Quran, God states in the Holy Quran that He created us for only one reason  to worship and glorify Him.  We as human can be a father, teacher ,mother, laborer etc, this titles are just roles to make our life meaningful.  But they are not the main reason for our existence.  We can eat, sleep, pro create, and be successful, but there is more to life that that. Because the soul that is the essence of our being can not be seen, touch, or destroyed, it lives for ever as long as God wills. Our life on this earth is just a temporary one.  That will continue in to the spiritual world.
