I don’t condone the violence on our streets or in our homes or work places. I believe that anyone that commits a violent act against another except in saving his own life or the life of someone else, should be punished under the laws of their country. Violence in the Black community is the result of being put in a controlled environment and all necessities taken away and we are forced to survive.  Anger builds up as we are denied real jobs that can pay for food, clothing, shelter, and recreation.  This feeling of hopelessness is passed down to the younger generations.  Alcohol and drugs are introduced as a anesthesia to numb the effects of the reality of their present situation of being homeless, no money, no food, but everyone can put on for a cheap drink or a bag of reggie (weed).  Parents and children smoking and drinking alcohol creates a powder keg with a short fuse.  Generic food and medicine are introduced into this controlled environment and we become #1 in all health issues.  Then you flood the community with quick kill automatic weapons of mass destruction and make the readily accessible.  Distrust is at an all-time high.  You can’t trust the doctor, the police, politicians, justice system or each other.  You can’t relate to most of them because they don’t look like you and they can’t begin to image what you are going through.  and if they did look like you, you won’t trust them. Frustration, hopelessness, and fear mounts.....................
