10 years ago I was in Detroit when Hurricane Katrina was wrecking the Gulf Coast! I remember WJLB stopping the music to play Mayor Ray Nagin's press conference. I listened in disbelief to what was to be going on. Then I went home to see the images on TV. I was hurt to see people in distress and pleading for help. It hurt me that the news media called them refugees. I could not believe what I seeing or hearing. 10 years there is still alot of denial and blame being placed. The bigger question is will this happen again and is the city better prepared?
