In the office the term "I got the memo" is used to basically say I understand. Once upon a time a memo was generated as a form of the communication before email & text messages. I like to use that term as a kind of note to self. I have gotten the memo on some things lately such as Love-people do not know how to love and they will use & hurt you while claiming to love you! I got the memo. I got the memo that people support and embrace the confederate flag as their Southern heritage but I look at as an ugly part of history. I got the memo that the shooting in the South Carolina massacre is not alone in his thinking and he was indocrinated in his thinking. I got the memo that the less qualified will be promoted and celebrated while others are shoved to the background. I got the memo that the police departments are in desperate need of reform. There are some things that I haven't got the memo on and that is why we don't love like it talk about in Corinthians? I didn't get the memo on why I should be so willing to forgive and have a kumbaya moment with the shooting in South Carolina? I am not there yet! To the person who has hurt me beyond words I did not get the memo that you were not the person I thought you were but you are the person I do not know. I embraced who I wished you were and shame on me for having expectations while I will not lower my standards Note to self Be more careful and continue to tell myself I got the memo!!
