Join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. EST (Eastern time), as your host, Michael "Mikal" Saahir joins with Imam/Dr. Nasir Ahmad (of Miami, FL) for a serious discussion on what should/could Muslim parents teach to their children about LGBTQ. This social topic has been pushed into the "front room" of our lives, obligating us -- as Muslims -- to have an Islamic discussion on this very topic, using Islamic sources and guidance.

Allah is very clear in the Qur'an in Sura (chapter) 66; Ayat (verse) 6: "Save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel are men and stones." Prophet Muhammed, prayers and peace be upon him, was explicitly clear in instructing parents to be responsible for our children. The Messenger of Allah (ppbuh), said, according to a hadith narrated by ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Umar, “…and your child has rights over you.” (Muslim, 1159).

Muslim American leader, Imam W. Deen Mohammed often spoke on the topic of LGBTQ, even before this recent popular trend. WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE and Imam Nasir will review many of Imam W. Deen Mohammed's comments and advice on this topic.
