Allah is clear about the importance and sacredness of Mothers and motherhood. Prophet Muhammed (ppbuh) often reminded us of the honor and respect we owe to our mothers.

As a Muslim American community, we too owe a special dedication to the mother of our Islamic life in America, Sister Clara Mohammed, the wife of the Hon. Elijah Muhammed.
