The Swamp Singers All Women Drum - We have such a surprise for you! Neshi is so pleased to have as her guests the Miiskwaasining Nagamojig (Swamp Singers) an all Native American woman drum. An all women drum is a rare occurrence and unique to most Native American Nations. Please join Neshi and the Swamp Singers for what will be a memorable evening.

The Swamp Singers began singing and drumming together in 2009. Soon several women were gathering once a week, overcoming shyness and learning how to sing in Anishinaabemowin and drum at the same time. Today members gather to share stories, food and ceremony in Ann Arbor, Milwaukee and Newaygo. Members range in age from eleven to eighty and represent Ojibwe, Odawa, Passamaquoddy, Haudenosaunee, Oneida and Potawatomi Nations.   http://ojibwe.net/miiskwaasining-nagamojig-swamp-singers/
