THE BLUE LOTTERY

This week, August 25th at 10:00 AM (Central Time) on Behind the Blue Curtain, we’re going to talk about what I call “Blue Lotto.”  There are people out here who are risking their lives and the lives of officers and innocent citizens by provoking or enticing an encounter with law enforcement for the sole purpose of garnering internet fame and/or a civil settlement.  

This is particularly harmful to the quest for police reform. It is, likewise, harmful to the integrity of the groups, websites and people who support these misguided causes out of ignorance or manipulation of the facts.  

As you all know, each week we keep it real.  That means we must call it like it is.  This show is not about righteous claims and settlements where police conduct was out of bounds.  It is, however, to acknowledge and pass the word on about the newest trend.
